Deadlock features a lot of unique and interesting heroes, but not all of them are created equal. So, here are the best of the best heroes in Deadlock for you to main.

Like any MOBA, Deadlock also features a roster of unique and interesting heroes, all with their strengths and weaknesses. Even though the game is still in its early development, some heroes have bubbled up to the top of the meta, making them better than others. This means they can provide more value with their kits, perform better at certain roles, or are solid heroes, in general.

Of course, with the constant flow of patch notes and balancing changes this top pyramid of heroes will change a bit. But, unless there is a major balancing update, these heroes will still retain their competitive value. So, here are some of the best Deadlock heroes in the game right now, both competitively and casually.

Abrams

Abrams is one of the tankiest heroes in Deadlock. He has got insane sustainability and survivability thanks to his passive. He can dish out tons of damage while not taking back much. If you have encountered a good Abrams player, you know how hard they are to kill. This healing power alone makes him an S-tier pick in Deadliock, and it is why there has been an influx of players running him.

His highlight healing ability is Siphon Life, which allows him to suck the health out of enemy heroes in a small radius. The other healing ability Infernal Resilience is also quite strong, allowing him to regenerate oncoming damage over time. Both combined make him a hard hero to kill.

McGinnis

McGinnis is the mechanic of Deadlock, taking control of the battlefield with her trusty turrets. Her strength lies in taking up map space and controlling areas. She is also quite easy to pick up for new players and can provide decent healing with her Medicinal Spectre.

McGinnis shines in the laning phase, allowing her to quickly rack up on souls for the team. Additionally, her ultimate, once fully upgraded, can take out an entire large Denizen camp. Her healing is decent, she can survive alone but can also heal teammates when needed. She isn’t the best support but can be useful in certain situations. The Spectral Wall is the best ability she has, allowing her to isolate enemy heroes or create distance between enemies easily. Her wall can sometimes get you out of very tough situations.

She does lack mobility, which makes her an easy target for long-range heroes like Grey Talon and Vindicta.

Mo & Krill

If you are looking for a fun hero with a dynamic playstyle, then Mo and Krill might be the best duo for you. Mo and Krill combine mobility, sustainability and a lot of firepower into one, to create a hero that's not only meta but also endlessly fun to play.

The other great thing about Mo and Krill is that the skill ceiling for the hero is very high. You can always find ways to better or improve on Mo and Krill. Simply put, no matter what skill level you are at, Mo and Krill can be a very good hero.

Plus, apart from his great mobility, he is also really tanky, which is why he is meta. Not only are you fast and moving around locations, but you are also hard to kill. Now that’s an S-Tier hero!

Paradox

Paradox is the unique hero in the Deadlock roster and one that’s quite difficult to play at the start. Her kit is quite different compared to other heroes, which is why beginners and sometimes even veterans struggle. But don’t disregard how strong Paradox is when you play her right.

Her shield can be a great tool for one-on-one duels and team battles, the ‘nade is great for wave clearing, and her ultimate, if used right, can easily get you a free kill. Her ultimate allows you to swap places with your opponent. So, you can basically pull an enemy hero near your teammates, which results in an easy kill. If you put the right items on her, she can get you a lot of wins.

Of course, no hero is perfect, and Paradox also has her fair share of issues. First, it’s hard to play her in a solo queue as Paradox requires good team coordination in order to bring value out of her kit. Secondly, she also requires a strategic playstyle and a player with good game sense to pull her off.

Wraith

Wraith is a really strong, aggressive, solo dueler-type hero that rewards players who like to push lanes. She is also relatively easy to pick and thrives in solo queues where team coordination is limited. She does lack sustainability but makes up for it in mobility and firepower.

Project Mind is her main mobility tool, allowing her to teleport short distances. You can easily escape fights or push deeper with this. Try to always teleport to high ground as that’s where you will get the most advantage out of it. Card Trick is a great damage ability but not as useful as the others, it’s a good way to deal some chip damage on heroes.

On the other hand, Full Auto is where Wraith truly shows her high damage potential. Allowing her to deal massive damage and mow down enemies with ease. Combined with her ultimate Telekinesis, she can easily secure a hero kill.

Overall, Wraith is a well-rounded hero that caters to all playstyles.

Conclusion

Deadlock has managed to create a very balanced roster of heroes. Even though there aren’t a lot of heroes compared to other MOBAs, they are still quite balanced. But as Deadlock's competitive scene grows, the heroes that are meta will also show up. Currently, the game is still maturing and improving day by day, and as for now, these heroes are considered to be slightly stronger than the others.
