Deadlock Hero Tier List Every update, all Deadlock heroes are evaluated for the Tacter Hero Tier List. This tier list provides a quick and easy way to understand the current performance of heroes in Deadlock.
Ranking Methodology I tier list is based on a composite score that considers both Win Rate and Pick Rate for each hero. By combining these two metrics, I aim to provide a more accurate reflection of a hero's overall performance and popularity in the current meta.
The composite score is calculated using the following weights:
- Win Rate (80% weight): The percentage of games won when a hero is played.
- Pick Rate (20% weight): The frequency at which a hero is picked in matches.
Heroes are ranked based on their composite scores, which are calculated by normalizing win rates and pick rates to a 0-1 scale and applying the weights. This method ensures that heroes who not only win games but are also popular picks are ranked higher.
Tier Rankings After calculating the composite scores, heroes are assigned to tiers based on their rankings:
- S Tier (Top 10%): Heroes with the highest composite scores.
- A Tier (Next 20%): Strong heroes with above-average performance.
- B Tier (Next 30%): Balanced heroes with average performance.
- C Tier (Next 20%): Underperforming heroes with below-average performance.
- D Tier (Bottom 20%): Heroes with the lowest composite scores, potentially in need of buffs.
This approach provides a comprehensive view of each hero's effectiveness and popularity, helping players make informed decisions when selecting heroes for their matches.
Remember that while our composite score offers valuable insights, personal skill, team composition, and playstyle can all impact a hero's effectiveness in any given match.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do you calculate the the tier? A: Hero tiers are calculated using a weighted combination of win rate and pick rate. We normalize both rates (to account for different scales) and combine them with win rate having a stronger influence (80%) compared to pick rate (20%). Heroes are then sorted by this combined score and divided into tiers: S tier (top 10%), A tier (next 20%), B tier (next 30%), C tier (next 20%), and D tier (remaining).
Q: Why are the eternus win rates different? A: There is a low amount of eternus games, so the win rates can be more volatile. There are gameplay factors also where some heroes may be much less effective against high level matches but if something looks off make sure to look at the number of games played.
Q: How does win rate change / pick rate change work? A: These columns show the difference in win rate and pick rate compared to the previous period, if you are filtering by patch then it will compare to the previous patch. If you are for example filtering by the last 7 days, it will compare to the previous 7 days.
Q: How do you determine what rank a match is? A: Each Deadlock match has a average team rank for each team, we average both teams ranks to determine a rank for the match.
Q: How do you calculate the hero win rate? A: We calculate the win rate by dividing the number of wins by the number of games played.
Q: How do you calculate the hero pick rate? A: We calculate the pick rate by dividing the number of games played on that hero by the total number of games.
Q: Does Tracklock have every match? A: We don't have every match, but we are able to track a large proportion of all Deadlock matches.
