Deadlock’s ultimate abilities are pretty good, and there are a lot of powerful combinations! I’ve got you covered with some ultimate combinations you can use to win your teamfights next time you’re in a match queued up with your friends!

Deadlock has a variety of characters, each with three abilities and an ultimate. Like in any other game, combinations of ultimates can be helpful when you see an opening to have your big moment. Here are some combinations to get you started, whether you're queued up with your friends or gotten lucky with randoms who are willing to coordinate.

Ivy’s Air Drop Special

Ivy’s fully upgraded ultimate silences people, which can be suitable for easy-to-interrupt ults, allowing teammates to get their abilities off without interruptions from the enemy. If you have a Haze, Seven, or even a Dynamo on your team, you can pick them up and drop them right on top of the enemy, silencing them just before the teammate you dropped pops their ultimate. Since they are silenced, the enemy suddenly can’t do anything and can only watch in horror as your teammate performs their ultimate, killing them all.

While talking about Ivy, her ultimate is suitable for quickly repositioning a teammate who may be stuck committing to an animation. Her ultimate is very good for someone like Seven, whose ultimate, Storm Cloud, forces him to become stationary as he zaps everyone around him. Though it’s no longer as deadly as it was (for a good reason), it’s still great for a quick point A to point B, allowing him to reach enemies just when they think they’re safe as you pick him up and move him to a new location before letting go so he doesn’t get the 50% damage reduction while being picked up. It can also be good for chasing down enemies with low health as you carry him around like a portable bugzapper.

Pocket’s Poison

Pocket’s Tier 2 Ultimate applies 60% anti-heal while doing damage over time, which can be suitable for dealing with teams with annoying amounts of healing. It is a good setup for characters whose ults want people low, like Grey Talon, Shiv, and Vindicta. You can combine their ult with any AoE ability or ultimate like Dynamo, Infernus or even the first ability of the newly added Mirage’s Tornado ability. Pocket’s Ultimate provides incredible value anywhere and anytime during a teamfight. Still, it is inherently at its best when it will help secure kills with its healing reduction and long-lasting damage over time.

Lash’s Big Slam

Lash’s Ultimate provides an excellent setup for abilities and ultimates that want people all in one place as he picks them up and throws them to a location of his choosing. This pairs incredibly with Shiv, Infernus, Pocket, Dynamo, and the newly added Mirage. The plan is that he grabs a bunch of them and throws them like normal while everyone else prepares to swoop in with their dash abilities and kill them all as quickly as possible.

Dynamo Double Tap

Dynamo’s Ultimate is a classic AoE stun needing no explanation. If you’re playing Paradox, you can always use her ult to swap someone into any of the lethal ultimates. Bebop's ult also combines well, being a very highly damaging laser. Now, for the double tap, if you have a Dynamo and an Infernus, you can pop the Dynamo ult and then have Infernus perform his ult right after to time it so they get stunned right when they think they’re about to be free. Abrams is also suitable as his and Dynamo’s Ultimate have similar radiuses. You can also do this with a Gray Talon since his ult both stuns and executes.

Kelvin’s Fun Zone

Kelvin Ult is perfect for making them unable to run away. It works well with “lethal” characters like Haze, Seven, and Bebop. The ice dome is Kelvin’s home, and as such, he has a clear advantage, especially if you pull out his third ability and beam them while your teammate does their ult. They can only watch as they are slowed down and face whatever ultimates you stick in there with them. A hilarious rendition of this is bringing Viscous into the mix, as his Goo Ball Ultimate is very fearsome when they can’t run away and must face it inside Kelvin’s Ice Dome. It’s very annoying for the enemy to fight as they get repeatedly stunned. You can also bring Warden into the mix, as his third ability is impossible to escape when the ice dome imprisons them.

Oathkeeper’s Free Meal

Lady Geist’s Ultimate is primarily used when she’s low on HP and swaps her HP with that of her enemy, which leaves them in the prime position for a third party who benefits from someone being relatively low. The best partners for this are Shiv and Mo & Krill, whose ults allow them to quickly finish someone off and put them in a prime feasting position. It’s fun to run around as a duo and have the second person stalk the Geist’s target as she feigns weakness in a duel, only to swap their HP bars quickly and have the second one appear out of nowhere to kill them almost instantly.

Conclusion

These combinations are super strong, especially when well-built. You’ll probably be seeing a lot of ultimate combinations as you play, so take note of which ones you see the enemy doing and try them out yourself. Keep an eye on what items your opponents are building to counter them. If you’re on the receiving end of one of these, then the primary way to prevent it would be to stop them from ulting you in the first place. You can prevent the enemy from using ultimates and abilities with items like Silence Glyph and Curse. You want to ideally stick them onto whoever is the one who starts the gank.

Take note of the characters on the enemy team and which combos they might try and use. It might be difficult, but if your character has a stun, you can use it to counter whoever is doing the damaging part of the combo, which could buy you some time. Good luck with your games! May your teamfights be swift and your randoms cooperative.
