Alhaitham's abilities focus on his Chisel-Light Mirrors, which transform his basic attacks into Dendro damage and enhance both his damage output and Dendro application depending on the number of active Mirrors he has.
🟢POSSITIVE:
-
-Provides consistent Dendro damage, making him versatile in various team compositions.
-
-Scales effectively with Elemental Mastery, simplifying his build requirements.
-
-Synergizes exceptionally well with the 3-star sword, Harbinger of Dawn (especially when paired with a shield character).
-
-Capable of delivering potent AoE or Single Target attacks through Chisel Mirror effects.
🔴NEGATIVE:
-
-Requires significant investment in leveling up all Talents, making him expensive to build.
-
-Demands a high level of play and necessitates the management of Mirrors and rotations.
-
-Relies on Charged Attacks for normal combos, which have a lengthy animation, risking exposure to enemy attacks if mistimed.
-
-Vulnerable to disruptions due to low resistance.
LEVEL & TALENT
It's more important for players to focus on leveling up their characters rather than their Talents. In teams centered around Quicken and Quickbloom, about half of Alhaitham's damage comes from the Spread reaction, which scales based on character levels rather than Talent levels. This means that increasing his Talents doesn't result in as much of a damage boost as it does for most characters.
Among Alhaitham's three Talents, his Elemental Skill should be prioritized as it contributes the most to his damage output apart from the Spread reaction. If using his Elemental Burst every other rotation, focus on leveling up his Normal Attacks over his Elemental Burst. If using his Burst every rotation, level them up equally.
BEST WEAPONS
Light of Foliar Incision: Alhaitham's go-to weapon is his top pick. It's a substantial boost to his CRIT stats and offers additional Flat DMG scaling with Elemental Mastery (EM) for both his Normal and Projection Attacks, akin to Shenhe's Quills. The passive effect of Foliar works seamlessly with EM enhancements, making it highly advantageous for Alhaitham to prioritize EM in his build
Primordial Jade Cutter: Crit, life and Damage, simple and efective.
Wolf-FangGood: 4-star option, The problem is that it is a weapon that is obtained with the Battle Pass
BEST ARTIFACTS
Gilded Dreams(4) A highly effective setup for Alhaitham, as long as another character can wear the 4-piece Deepwood Memories set. While the 4-piece Glacial Domain set has some downtime in its passive ability, it's quite straightforward to activate its effect.
Deepwood Memories(4) This would be considered Alhaitham's Best-in-Slot (BiS) set if there's no other character available to trigger the 4-piece effect. However, since Spread DPS Alhaitham usually contributes most of the team's damage, it's often more beneficial to assign a support unit to wear the 4-piece Deepwood set for him.
Gilded Dreams(2) & Deepwood Memories(2) Slightly less powerful compared to the 4-piece Glacial Domain (GD) set. If players have excellent substats on their 2-piece sets (which is often the case), this combination of artifacts might surpass the effectiveness of the 4-piece GD set.
