Lan Yan is the new 4⭐ character, a catalyst user, she provides defense for the team, by creating an Anemo Shield with her skill. Her shield resistance scales based on her ATK which means you'll have to give her as much attack as you can. The peculiarity of her shield, as an Anemo character, is that it can absorb elements, making it suitable against any type of elemental enemy.
Reminder: Elemental shields have a greater absorption capacity if hit by the same element. (ex: cryo shield more resistant against cryo attacks)
Her Ultimate creates vortices that deal several instances of Anemo Aoe damage. While Lan Yan's elemental application isn't the best, she has a fun fighting style, with a tough shield that can adapt to different situations.
