Neuvillette C1 or R1?

Many of us don't have the primos to do both, but we still want to invest into Neuvillette a bit more. So the question pops up, which is best for you and your account?

His signature weapon provides him a lot of stats and a great increase in damage. Almost no weapon rivals this weapon when it comes to damage. However the Widsiths elemental damage buff at high refinement rank or sacrificial jade at high refinement are just slightly worse. Another pro is that it also helps with his energy requirements, so you can focus on other stats instead, boosting your damage

His Constellation 1 has 2 uses. It provides him with one permanent stack on his passive, which boosts his charge attack damage. This allows him to run other teams that can buff his damage significantly, without neglecting his ascension passive. Another advantage is that it gives a lot of interruption resistance, so Neuvillette doesn't get knocked around during his attack. This can allow you to free up your Shielder for your other team.

Generally: If you want higher personal damage, go for his weapon. If you want more comfortability, when it comes to combat or team building, go for his Constellation.

If you already run a Shielder or you play a team that allows Neuvillette to trigger 3, different hydro-related reactions, his Constellation may be less effective.

If you already have the Widsith or the Sacrificial jade each at high Constellation, and you are willing to retry often, then going for his signature weapon will be less effective

Of course it is your own decision, so pick whatever you want. Me personally, the decision depends on the banner. If both featured signature weapons are very good, I would chose the weapon banner. But since this patch it's Zhonglis signature weapon, Vortex Vanquisher, I decided to pass the weapon on my main. Instead go for his Constellation or wait for a better banner next year. Bye!
