Wanderer is a 5-star Anemo Catalyst character in Genshin Impact known for delivering strong on-field damage with his unique Normal and Charged Attacks.
Wanderer remains on the field in all his teams. He can function as either the main DPS or as a driver for off-field damage dealers. Due to his extended field time, which can't be interrupted by swapping characters, teammates should activate their abilities before he takes the field.
🟢POSSITIVE:
-
-Exceptional damage: Excels in single-target scenarios and performs well in multi-target situations with groupers like Venti or Kazuha. His high multipliers ensure his damage scales significantly with proper support and investment.
-
-Versatile and efficient: Offers flexible teambuilding compared to other hypercarries, is excellent for overworld exploration, and has long-range Normal Attacks with good enemy tracking.
-
-Efficient attack mechanics: Charged Attacks in midair don't consume Stamina and can trigger numerous Swirls in a single rotation.
🔴NEGATIVE:
-
-Support and vulnerability: Relies heavily on C6 Faruzan for optimal performance and is highly susceptible to knockback and interruptions, necessitating shielding or careful play.
-
-Energy and crowd control issues: Faces energy challenges and low Burst damage without C2 or multiple Anemo supports, and has poor crowd control abilities despite being an Anemo character.
-
-Swirling and altitude limitations: Cannot fully utilize Swirling due to lack of EM scaling and may need to adjust altitude at the expense of Kuugoryoku Points in specific situations.

BEST WEAPONS
Tulaytullah's Remembrance is the optimal weapon for Wanderer. When using this weapon, you should focus on N3 combos, as it performs less effectively with combos that include more Charged Attacks.
Cashflow Supervision offers the same Base ATK and CRIT value as Tulaytullah's Remembrance. However, its passive ability boosts Normal and Charged Attack DMG% only when Wanderer's HP changes. This makes it particularly effective in teams with Furina, though it still serves well as a reliable stat stick.
Keep in mind that Wanderer's CRIT Rate Ascension, combined with Cashflow Supervision, might lead to exceeding the CRIT Rate cap when using a 4-piece Marechaussee Hunter set.
Lost Prayers to the Sacred Winds is an excellent choice for Wanderer. Its passive ability provides a DMG Bonus that increases the longer the holder remains on-field. Wanderer can reliably keep 2 stacks of this effect active.
BEST ARTIFACTS
Desert Pavilion Chronicle (DPC) set is Wanderer’s overall Best-in-Slot artifact. It boosts Normal Attack speed and grants a 40% DMG Bonus to all his Normal and Charged Attacks, which constitute the bulk of his damage output.
Shimenawa’s Reminiscence (SR) set is the most Resin-efficient choice for Wanderer if you can manage its Energy consumption effect. It results in only a slight DPS reduction compared to the 4-piece Desert Pavilion Chronicle (DPC) set.
When using this set, activate Wanderer’s Burst every three rotations. Avoid using the 4-piece SR if Wanderer is at Constellation 2 to 6. To ensure he has enough Energy for the 4-piece buff, perform his Burst at the end of his airtime.
Marechaussee Hunter set is the best choice for Wanderer. The 2-piece effect offers a solid Normal and Charged Attack DMG Bonus, while the 4-piece effect significantly boosts CRIT Rate. However, be cautious as Wanderer's CRIT Rate Ascension combined with a CRIT Rate Catalyst might result in exceeding the CRIT Rate cap.
