Yelan is best played as an off field DPS and support, launching co-ordinating attacks with your on fielder's normal attacks, and also buffing the DMG percent of the on field character in a wide variety of teams. Her hydro element is very useful for a wide variety of powerful eleemental reactions. She has very good personal damage, and can even be used as an on fielder hereself, taking advantage of her own buff. Always make sure you have enough Energy Recharge to use her Burst as soon as it's available.

Normal attack has a quick charge that is best used once per rotation, but can also be easily ignored for very little loss.

Aqua is her Best In Slot in almost all situations, with Elegy being a great option when Energy is need, and Elemental Mastry buff is very valuable.

Favonious Warbow is her best F2P option, and since she usually needs a lot of ER, it's going to be extremely useful. If you don't need the ER, using some sort of weapon that gives more damage such as Slingshot, Stringless, Recurve bow, or even a 5 star statstick is very useful.
