Video Guide:

Introduction:

This is a free-to-play guide for the upcoming Physical Harmony five-star character, Robin. She is one of the characters to be released in Patch two point two and will most likely appear in Phase one of Patch two point two. Robin is the first limited Harmony Physical character to be released in Honkai Star Rail. Robin is a universal character because she is a Harmony character and can be used on several teams. Robin is great on follow-up attack teams, which are free-to-play friendly because Dr. Ratio was given for free to everyone. Robin is also very efficient to build for free-to-play players because she can use relics from efficient Cavern of Corrosions.

Should you pull for Robin?

I will go over non-gacha free-to-play options if you want to go for Robin. Robin seems to be popular in the community. If you do not have a limited five star Harmony unit, you should consider pulling for Robin. I would suggest pulling for Robin over Boothill because she is more universal since she can fit on several different teams, unlike Boothill. For this free-to-play guide, I will not be going over any limited five-star characters or five-star light cones, including Robin’s signature light cone, Flowing Nightglow. If you have a limited five-star character equivalent to one of my recommendations, replace it. I will also only be mentioning five-star characters from the standard banner.

Abilities:

Robin’s basic attack scales off her attack stats. Robin’s skill is really easy to use because it increases damage dealt by all allies by fifty percent for three turns and does not scale off anything. This makes it really easy to build Robin since you do not have to focus on specific substats for her skill. Robin’s ultimate increases all allies attack by twenty two point eight percent plus two hundred of Robin’s attack. So, you should focus on attack percent substats for Robin. Also, in Robin’s ultimate, she deals additional physical damage equal to one hundred twenty percent of her attack one time after every attack by allies. Robin’s talent increases all allies' critical damage by twenty percent. This does not scale off anything. Robin’s ability priority is skill, then ultimate or talent, then basic attack.

Traces:

The only major trace to focus on for Robin is Impromptu Flourish, where while in the Concerto state, all allies' critical damage dealt when launching follow-up attacks increases by ten percent. This major trace makes it so that Robin’s best team is a follow-up attack team. Robin’s traces provide twenty-eight percent attack, so it is likely that she should focus on attack substats. Robin’s major trace priority is Impromptu Flourish, then Sequential Passage, then Coloratura Cadenza.

Relic Main Stats:

Robin’s recommended relic's main stat for the body piece is attack percent because of her talent and ultimate scale off attack. For her feet, Robin should use an attack percent main stat over speed main stat because Robin is mostly in the Concerto state, which has an unchangeable speed of ninety. For her planar sphere, use an attack percent main stat over a physical damage main stat because she does not directly damage enemies. For Robin’s link rope, use an energy regeneration rate main stat to get her ultimate faster.

Relic Set:

Robin’s best four piece relic set is Musketeer of Wild Wheat. Its two piece relic set effect is to increase attack by twelve percent. Its four piece relic set effect is that the wearer's speed increases by six percent and basic attack damage increases by ten percent. Musketeer of Wild Wheat’s two piece relic effect is great because Robin scales off attack. Musketeer of Wild Wheat’s four piece relic effect is also great for Robin because she uses her Basic Attack often in between using her skill. I am unsure if Messenger Traversing Hackerspace’s four piece relic set effect will proc, but if it does, then it’s good for Robin. Messenger Traversing Hackerspace’s two piece relic set effect is to increase speed by six percent. Its four piece relic set effect is that when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, speed for all allies increases by twelve percent for one turn. This effect cannot be stacked. Speed is decent for Robin because she can use her skill faster. Messenger Traversing Hackerspace’s second effect increases speed for all allies, which is great because now allies can take their action before enemies.

Planar Set:

Robin can use either Fleet of the Ageless or Broken Keel. This is because Fleet of the Ageless’s two piece relic set effect is to increase the wearer's maximum H.P. by twelve percent. When the wearer's speed reaches one hundred twenty or higher, all allies' attack increases by eight percent. Maximum H.P. is important for Robin because you do not want her to die. Fleet of the Ageless’ second effect requires Robin to reach one hundred twenty speed and increases all allies attack. Increasing attack for Robin is great because she scales off attack. Broken Keel’s two piece relic set effect increases the wearer's effect resistance by ten percent. When the wearer's effect resistance is at thirty percent or higher, all allies' critical damage increases by ten percent. Allies receiving a critical damage increase is huge because it compounds with Robin’s talent, which increases critical damage as well.

Relic Sub Stat:

Robin’s relic substat priority is one hundred twenty speed at minimum, then attack percent, then H.P., or defense or effect resistance, at thirty percent if you decide to use Broken Keel.

Recommended Endgame Stats:

Robin’s recommended endgame stats are four thousand H.P. three thousand attack, nine hundred defense, and one hundred twenty speed; critical rate and critical damage stats are not a priority, so Robin could be left at five percent critical rate and fifty percent critical damage; thirty percent effect resistance if you use Broken Keel; and an energy regeneration rate of one hundred nineteen point four percent.

Light cones:

Robin’s best free-to-play four star light cone is Past and Future, and its effect is that when the wearer uses their skill, then the next ally taking action except the wearer deals sixteen percent up to thirty two percent increased damage for one turn. Make sure that your main D.P.S.’s action is right after Robin to properly make use of the past and future’s effect. Past and Future is the only good non gacha light cone option. There are two great three star alternatives in Chorus and Meshing Cogs. Chorus’ effect is that, after entering battle, it increases the attack of all allies by eight percent up to twelve percent. This is great since Robin scales off Attack. The Meshing Cogs’ effect is that after the wearer uses attacks or gets hit, they additionally regenerate four up to eight energy. This effect can only be triggered once per turn. This is great for Robin because you want to have her ultimate up often.

Teams:

Robin’s best free-to-play team is her, Dr. Ratio, Tingyun, and Gallagher. Dr. Ratio is Robin’s best free-to-play main D.P.S. because he is a follow-up attack character and benefits from Robin’s major trace, Impromptu Flourish, which increases all allies’ critical damage dealt when launching follow-up attacks. Alternatively, you can use the standard banner character Clara because she also launches follow-up attacks. A four star main D.P.S. follow-up character that Robin synergizes well with is Xueyi, who launches a follow-up attack due to her talent. Herta and Himeko could also be used with Robin, but they should mainly be used in Pure Fiction. At Eidolon four, Qingque could be used with Robin, but not optimally. Tingyun is a good secondary harmony character for Dr. Ratio because she increases his attack. Tingyun could also use her skill on Robin to increase Robin’s attack, which improves her ultimate and talent effectiveness. You could also replace Tingyun with Asta to increase allies’ speed with Asta’s ultimate. A standard banner five star alternative is Bronya, who can bring Dr. Ratio forward with her skill and increase Robin’s attack with her ultimate. Gallagher is the best free-to-play abundance character for Robin teams because he is easy to obtain since you can get him for free from vignettes in a cup. You could also use Lynx, as she is free from pure fiction. Alternatively, Gepard or Bailu can be used if you have them from the standard banner.
