Headliner + Augment Min Max with Superfans

As you might know by now if you run at least 3 Superfans, your Headliner will receive a specific item. Usually this item is somewhat tailored to the unit, but there is one strategy that takes this mechanic a step further.

Some Augments in the game will grant your units a bonus when holding an item or straight up buff a specific item. In combination with Superfans you can get much more value out of these Augments by running a specific Headliner that receives this item for free already.

Crown Guarded is a new Augment joining in Set 10 that will buff the effect of every Crown Guard by 75%. This effect will increase both the shield and the AP you receive after the shield expires.

Unfortunately there is only a single Headliner in the game that will receive a Crown Guard from Superfan: Mordekaiser. This means if you have a Mordekaiser Chosen and you see the Augment Crown Guarded then you should consider taking it and abuse the power spike of two buffed items on your main frontliner.

This is a pretty well known Augment at this point, allowing your Titan's Resolve to stack higher and therefore granting more stats. Here we have a lot of options with Vi, Jax, Riven, Urgot, Viego and Yorick. Urgot and Jax as Moshers already have some synergy with Gnar, so it might be an interesting strategy to use this combination to run 4 Mosher 3 Superfan in mid game and utilize the power spike to win streak.

Idealism works a bit different compared to the previous Examples. Putting multiple Hand of Justice on a single unit will not stack the effect. This means in this case your goal is to spread out the item to activate the effect as much as possible. Units that receive a HoJ are Evelynn, Katarina, Yone and Akali. You have some very strong choices here, either by using Executioner with Akali or Crowd Divers with Katarina 3 Star.

This is arguably the weakest combination, but it's still worth talking about if you see a good spot in early game. The units with Deathblade as their Headliner item are Corki, Kaisa, Twitch, Miss Fortune, Ezreal and Jhin. Since this is mainly an early game strategy, you definitely want to focus on low cost units like Corki or Twitch in combination with the Augment and spread the Deathblade to increase your chances at receiving gold to accelerate your economy.

The last Augment for this tech is Fully Adapated, which grants every holder of Adaptive Helm both positional effects. Your unit choices are Lillia, Bard, Ekko or Lux. Ekko used to be a very strong user for this strategy, since he could use all the stats and fits in naturally with Superfans. Since his damage was massively nerfed this and Lillia was recently hit as well, this has become a bit more difficult to pull off.

There are two more item enhancing Augments that currently don't share an item with the Superfan trait.

• Not Today (Edge of Night)

• Shock Treatment (Statikk Shiv)

There is a chance that a Superfan item in the future will work in conjunction with one of these Augments, but at least as of right now, they don't have any synergy.
