There is a tech that lets you almost guarantee that your Edgelord carry will dash to the enemy backline.
By placing the unit in the 2nd row, you can trick Melee carries into selecting their closest target when the fight begins.
When the unit steps into the empty hex in front of them, they'll first check if the target they wanted to attack is there. If it is, they'll go ahead and attack that unit.
In the below image example Yone will target the Lillia, and then will dash through her towards the Senna and Aphelios.
