How the trait works
Fated is a trait that holds similarities to set 9's Ionia in the way every Fated unit holds a stat that will be empowered upon meeting the requirements. But it also works differently, and as such, needs a bit of thinking.
To use the Fated trait, you need at least 3 Fated units on your board. Then, hover one of them over another for a few seconds (you'll see a gauge filling up) to link them. The pair thus formed will gain 20% bonus Health and each of their Fated bonus will activate. At 3 Fated, only the pair will get the Fated bonus, but when you're at 5 or 7 Fated, every Fated unit will get 200% then 300% of the Fated bonus (but not the 20% bonus Health). At 10 Fated, every Fated unit will get 300% of the Fated bonus from every one of them, not only from the linked units.
Each Fated bonus
Units benefitting from the Fated bonus will gain the following :
Yasuo : A 300 Health shield at the start of the fight. Ahri : 30% AP Kindred : 18% AS Thresh : 20 AR/MR Aphelios : 25% AD Syndra : 10% bonus damage Sett : 15% Omnivamp Fated emblem : 3% Health regen every 3 seconds
Yasuo/Ahri reroll

This comp is for rerolling Ahri and Yasuo. With this one, you'll link together Yasuo and Thresh. By doing so, both will get more HP due to being the Fated pair, and they will both get a shield and bonus resistances. Yasuo has a passive that makes him deal bonus damage with his auto-attacks when he's got a shield, and that bonus damage scales with both Armor and Magic Resistance. Which is why we'll give him Bloodthirster and Protector's Vow, which will each grant him a 25% Health shield upon dropping to 40% HP, and Adaptive Helm which gives a lot of resistances. With these last 2 items, he'll start at 45 mana out of 70, leading him to cast quite early and gaining another shield to support the one he starts with.
You'll want to stay as low level as possible to get Yasuo and Ahri, preferrably level 5, to have a decent amount of gold to roll and buy units.
But, by the end of stage 3 and you have about 6 or both Ahri and Yasuo, don't waste too much time staying low level. Go up to level 8 and bring in Hwei, who will create copies of Ahri and Yasuo for free, one per turn.
If you haven't wasted too much time on staying low level, you may reach level 9, where you'll put 5 Fated and link Yasuo with Thresh.
Higher-level Fated comp

With this one, that you'll play around level 9, you will link Sett and Syndra, giving the Fated units a total of 30% Omnivamp and 20% bonus damage. Sett, stacking AD upon squatting the units directly at his left and right, and Syndra who will cast repeatedly, will benefit highly from these boost, especially the latter who won't have to rely on an Hextech Gunblade. With Rabadon's Deathcap and 4 Arcanists, she will also have enough AP to deal decent damage. Umbral will give a little shield on units that start the fight on the bonus hexes, who will be Sett and his buddies, as well as either Thresh or Lissandra. Yorick and Sett being Umbral, they will also execute enemies below 10% Health upon damage them. If you get Udyr, you can swap Yorick for Udyr of course. He'll more than largely make up for losing a trait like 2 Umbral.
Also, if you get your hands on a Masterwork Upgrade, that allows you to choose a unit, turn on of their items into his Radiant version and remove them, do NOT choose Blue Buff for Syndra. Her casts will not kill units for some time at the start of the fight. Better choose Giant Slayer or Rabadon.
