TFT Set 13: How to Play Visionary

In Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Set 13, the Visionary trait enhances Mana generation, making it a valuable trait for champions focused on frequent ability usage. With this trait, Visionaries gain extra Mana whenever they receive it, allowing them to cast spells more often and deliver greater utility or damage. The Mana bonus increases with more Visionaries on the team, from 25% at two Visionaries up to 100% at eight, where Visionaries also gain an additional effect: their abilities heal an ally for 20% of the damage dealt. This makes Visionary an ideal trait for building a team with rapid spellcasting and additional healing support.

1. Visionary Trait Bonus

The Visionary trait in TFT Set 13 boosts Mana generation, allowing Visionary champions to cast their abilities more frequently and deliver continuous utility or damage. With more Visionaries on your team, the Mana bonus scales, enhancing your champions’ ability uptime and, at the highest level, adding a unique healing effect. • 4 Visionaries: Gain 50% increased Mana from all sources.
• 6 Visionaries: Gain 80% increased Mana from all sources.

This Mana bonus makes Visionary champions excellent for compositions relying on rapid spellcasting, whether for damage, crowd control, or healing. At eight Visionaries, the added healing effect further supports team survivability, making Visionary a strong choice for players who want to create a high-impact, sustain-focused lineup.

2. Visionary Synergy

Here’s the list of traits you can activate from the Visionary units:

• Conqueror
• Sentinel
• Chem-Baron
• Experiment
• Bruiser
• Academy
• Automata

Unfortunately, even though Visionary has 6 units, there is no other trait overlap. As such, going vertical on Visionary can be taxing to your board space. However, there is a good amount of frontline potential for the trait, so that may help alleviate issues from going vertical.

For now, we won’t know for sure whether the meta will trend toward building (2), (4), or (6) Invoker. It will really depend on the carry potential, utility, and supporting units.

In general, Augments like Crest and Crown will always be good, but there are definitely more notable ones to explore and discover. As we make our way to the PBE, we’ll be sure to test a variety of combinations and update this article with what we find.

The set has yet to even come out on PBE yet, and unfortunately, our team was unable to playtest the Set this time around. While we can’t recommend team comps at the moment, we’ll be sure to come back and update this article once we have a good feel for things.
