Introduction
Hello everyone, I'm Cheng. Today, I’ll introduce you to some unconventional yet incredibly powerful team comps in TFT. Not only are they effective, but they also add a humorous and exciting twist to your gameplay experience!
The team comps I’m about to reveal are unique combinations of a single Carry champion paired with unconventional mechanics. If you’re feeling bored climbing ranks with S-tier Meta comps like Ambusher Camille, Black Rose - Visionary, or Sentinel Heimerdinger, trying out these out-of-meta setups will bring a fresh and exciting twist to your gameplay!
After reading my article, if you find it enjoyable, feel free to follow me! This is a small corner, but it holds a whole world of TFT from across the globe right here!

Part 1: Chem - Baron Kog'Maw
This is the team comp that sparked heated debates on Chinese social media today. It’s simple: you play Chem-Baron and trigger the pot at the stacked shimmer 600. Equip Kog'Maw with Tier 3 items: Perfected Unleashed Toxins, Shojin, and the Chem-Baron Emblem.
To execute this comp, you'll need either a Chem-Baron Emblem or an early activation of the Chem-Baron trait, combined with a lose-streak strategy. You can check it out here!
Augments:
- Chem-Baron Crest: Gain a Chem-Baron Emblem and a Renata Glasc.
- War for the Undercity: Everytime you choose to save your Shimmer on a Black Market, heal 4 player health and gain 6 gold. Gain a Renni.
- Tower Defense: Gain a Training Dummy equipped with a random emblem that fires ranged attacks at enemies. It upgrades as the game goes on.
- Chem-Baron Crown: Gain a Chem-Baron Emblem, a Nashor's Tooth, and a Smeech.
You need to maintain a lose streak to accumulate more Stacked Shimmer—typically an 11 or 12-loss streak. After triggering the 600 pot, you’ll have Perfected Unleashed Toxins and and Kog'Maw will hold this item.
Perfected Unleashed Toxins (Tier 3):
- +45 Ability Power
- +30 Mana
- Recommend users: Silco and Renata Glasc
- Attacks grant 10 bonus Mana. After casting, launch 5 missiles at the current target that deal 250 magic damage.
- Perfected Bonus: Casts also launch a wave of toxins that deals 450 magic damage and Stuns enemies hit for 1.5 seconds.
