Video Guide:

Hello and welcome to this comprehensive guide on Ju FuFu. Her banner will be running during the second half of patch two point zero of Zenless Zone Zero. In today’s video, I will walk you through every facet of her kit, from her core attributes to her mindscape cinema levels, and share tips on how to chain her abilities together for maximum heat generation and explosive damage. By the end of this guide, you will understand how to optimize her playstyle, maximize her crowd control potential, and support your team with her unique buffs. Let’s dive right into the world of Ju FuFu.

Ju Fufu is an S-Rank Fire character who wields the Stun W-Engine Type, making her a fantastic choice for crowd control and sustained burns. Ju Fufu is an off-field D.P.S. like Burnice. She wields a strike weapon that complements her aggressive melee style, and she originates from the Yunkui Mountain faction. At level sixty, she boasts a remarkable eight thousand two hundred fifty H.P., a solid seven hundred sixty-five attack stat, and a respectable five hundred ninety-seven defense stat. Her impact begins at one hundred eighteen, and she enters combat with a critical hit rate of nineteen point four percent and critical damage of fifty percent. Her anomaly mastery stands at ninety-three, with anomaly proficiency at ninety-six. She recovers one point two energy automatically over time, although her penetration rate remains at zero.

For Ju Fufu’s ability level priority, first level her chain attack, second level her special attack, third level her basic attack, fourth level her assist, and lastly level her dodge.

For those aiming to optimize Ju Fufu’s performance in endgame content, here's a breakdown of her recommended stats at level sixty. Attack should be two thousand, H.P. should be eleven thousand, defense should be eight hundred, impact should be one hundred seventy, anomaly proficiency should be two hundred sixty, critical rate should be sixty percent, and critical damage should be one hundred twenty percent.

Ju Fufu’s Mindscape Cinema One says that upon entering the field, she instantly gains one hundred heat, her chain attacks inflict the High Temperature status, and all allies’ ultimates ignore fourteen percent of enemy all-type resistance.

Ju Fufu’s Signature Stun S-rank W-Engine has a base attack of seven hundred thirteen and an impact of eighteen percent. Ju Fufu’s EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, and Ultimate will have her Daze value increased by twenty-eight percent. When Chain Attack or Ultimate is activated, the entire team's damage is increased by ten percent, stacking up to two times, lasting twelve seconds. Each stack's duration is calculated separately. This effect is unique to the entire team.

If you have enough pulls to either get Ju Fufu’s Mindscape Cinema One or her Signature W-Engine, I would recommend pulling her W-Engine because it provides her with Impact, increased Daze values, and increased teamwide damage. Meanwhile, her Mindscape Cinema One provides her with Heat, high temperature status, and allies’ ultimates ignore a percent of enemy all-type resistance. Her W-Engine gives a teamwide damage increase no matter what, while her Mindscape Cinema One is restricted to allies’ ultimate damage.

Ju Fufu’s Mindscape Cinema Two states that her additional ability applies to everyone on your team; it is no longer restricted to Attack and Rupture units, and after any ally uses their ultimate, Ju FuFu restores five thousand heat instantly, guaranteeing that her next Open Pot sequence will critically hit. If you are a whale, I would recommend stopping at Mindscape Cinema Two because the higher Mindscape Cinema levels do not seem that good.

Ju Fufu can use the other S-Rank W-Engines: Ice-Jade Teapot; Qingyi’s signature W-Engine, the Blazing Laurel; Lighter’s signature W-Engine, the Hellfire Gears; Koleda’s signature W-Engine, and the Restrained; Lycaon’s signature W-Engine.

An A-Rank W-Engine that Ju Fufu can use is the Precious Fossilized Core. It has a base attack of five hundred ninety-five and an impact of fifteen percent. At refinement level 5, the Precious Fossilized Core’s effect is that when the target's H.P. is no lower than fifty percent, Ju Fufu inflicts sixteen percent more Daze to the target. When the target's H.P. is no lower than seventy-five percent, this bonus is further increased by sixteen percent.

Alternatively, she can use the free-to-play A-Rank W-Engine Steam Oven and the Battle Pass A-Rank W-Engine Six Shooter.

A completely free-to-play B-rank W-engine that Ju Fufu can use is Arrow. It has a base attack of four hundred seventy-six and an impact of twelve percent. At refinement level 5, Arrow’s effect is that Ju Fufu’s attacks inflict twelve percent more Daze on their main target.

Ju Fufu can use two different four-piece Drive Disc Sets, Proto Punk and Shockstar Disco. Proto Punk’s two-piece set effect is to increase the Shield effect by fifteen percent. Proto Punk’s four-piece set effect is that when any squad member triggers a Defensive Assist or Evasive Assist, all squad members deal fifteen percent increased damage, lasting ten seconds. Shockstar Disco’s two-piece set effect is to increase impact by six percent. Shockstar Disco’s four-piece set effect is to inflict twenty percent more Daze to the main target when using Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks, and Dodge Counters. Shockstar Disco is probably the better set for Ju Fufu. With four-piece Shockstar Disco, use two-piece Swing Jazz, and with four-piece Proto Punk, use two-piece Shockstar Disco.

For Drive Disk four, use either a critical damage percent main stat, a critical rate percent main stat, or an anomaly proficiency main stat. For Drive Disk five, use either a fire damage percent main stat, an attack percent main stat, or a penetration ratio percent main stat. For Drive Disk six, use an impact percent main stat.

For Ju Fufu’s drive disk substats prioritization, first prioritize Critical Rate and Critical Damage, second prioritize Attack Percent, third prioritize anomaly proficiency, and lastly prioritize either Penetration or Flat Attack.

Ju Fufu’s best team is herself, Yixuan, and Astra Yao. Another premium Ju Fufu best team is herself, Evelyn, and Astra Yao. A free-to-play team is Ju Fufu, Soldier Eleven, and Lucy.

An S-rank Bangboo that Ju Fufu can use is Rocketboo, assuming you have two or more Fire characters in your team. It deals fire damage and accumulates fire anomaly buildup.

An A-rank Bangboo that Ju Fufu can use is Cryboo, who has the same requirement as Rocketboo and does the same thing as Rocketboo but with less Anomaly Buildup.

Ju FuFu’s basic attack sequence unfolds in four swift stages, each stage layering physical damage with fire damage. The first slash deals moderate physical impact before igniting her target, the second follow-up increases in fluidity to crack through defenses, and the third swing transitions into a powerful blow that accumulates heat rapidly. When you hold down the attack button after the third strike, you enter the fourth and final slash, which erupts in a blazing crescendo of fire damage. Each hit not only wounds enemies but also contributes to your energy and decibel meters, making the basic combo the backbone of your rotation. Learning to weave in delays between taps to optimize the third hit’s timing will significantly improve your heat build rate and set you up for higher-tier skills.

Her passive ability, Popcorn Pot Slam, takes center stage whenever Ju FuFu enters battle. The popcorn pot that follows her onto the field will auto-attack nearby enemies, each strike dealing fire damage and granting twenty heat, stacking up to a maximum of two hundred heat. This passive ensures that even when you are not directly engaging, your popcorn pot remains a relentless source of heat generation, filling the gauge for your more devastating abilities. Positioning yourself to allow the popcorn pot free rein can create a constant trickle of heat that pairs perfectly with mobility skills and dodge counters.

The dodge and dash mechanic in Ju FuFu’s arsenal serves both as an evasive tool and a means of chaining into high-damage combos. A quick tap of the dodge button triggers a rapid forward dash with full invincibility frames. If you press attack while dashing, Ju FuFu executes a swift forward slash that clips opponents and builds additional damage. Holding the attack button after the dash unleashes the High-Speed Spin, a rotating assault that you can maneuver using the joystick, damaging all enemies in your path. Each rotation can grant up to ten Heat Rotation stacks, and spending each stack on contact inflicts fire damage and awards forty heat. When your heat exceeds one hundred, the rotation automatically triggers the Chain Attack known as Open Pot, tossing explosive popcorn at your foes before you can follow up with a fourth basic hit. Switching characters preserves the spinning state, enabling your popcorn pot to maintain pressure while you finish another combo or heal. During the spin, if you are not controlling Ju FuFu, she enjoys full invincibility, and if you are steering her directly, she benefits from sixty percent damage reduction and super armor. Mastering precise timing on this evade-to-spin sequence can make Ju FuFu feel unstoppable in tight situations.

Ju FuFu’s Dodge Counter ability activates after a Perfect Dodge, giving you an opportunity to retaliate with a rapid multi-hit sequence that delivers hefty fire damage. During this counterattack, she remains invincible, allowing you to punish incoming attacks without risk. Learning the timing window for the Perfect Dodge is crucial because succeeding not only avoids damage but also unleashes a surge of fire that builds both energy and decibels for your ultimate. This counter delivers a flurry of consecutive strikes that rain fiery destruction on your target and accumulates significant anomaly buildup, making it a cornerstone of her defensive-offensive playstyle.

Her special attack unleashes a roaring, rotating slash followed by a downward chop, combining fire damage with a daze effect that can interrupt enemy actions. Once she has gathered enough energy, her EX Special Attack swings the popcorn pot in a massive arc that deals tremendous fire damage while generating eighty heat and two Heat Rotation stacks in one blow. This move also grants invincibility frames, making it ideal for breaking through shields or turning the tide when pressured. Integrating the EX Special Attack into your rotation immediately after building energy through basic combos and dodge counters allows you to convert accumulated heat directly into damage and sets the stage for her open-pot Chain Attack.

Ju FuFu’s Chain Attack can be executed at any time but becomes especially formidable when her heat gauge is high. The initial Chain Attack swings the popcorn pot for massive fire damage under full invincibility. If she has at least one hundred heat stored, she can transition into the Open Pot attack, launching explosive popcorn projectiles at enemies and then following up with the fourth basic attack for even more damage. Her Ultimate, unleashed when her decibel meter reaches its cap, delivers a double-drop sequence with the popcorn pot that inflicts staggering fire damage, grants one hundred heat, and awards four Heat Rotation stacks while protecting her with invincibility frames. Triggering her Ultimate after a series of chain and open pot executions can shred bosses or clear waves of enemies with unmatched efficiency.

Ju FuFu’s assist skills offer additional utility when she is not on the field. The Quick Assist slashes forward with the popcorn pot when your active character is knocked airborne, dealing fire damage and granting invincibility frames to safely continue the fight. The Defensive Assist parries incoming attacks, generating a high daze effect that can leave opponents vulnerable. Performing an assist follow-up after the parry slams the popcorn pot down for fire damage and grants one Heat Rotation stack, usable once every ten seconds, all while remaining invincible. These assist skills not only support your team by creating openings but also help Ju FuFu build her own decibel and heat resources when she makes strategic off-field appearances.

Ju FuFu’s core passive and additional ability create remarkable synergies with her team. After using any skill with the popcorn pot, the pot remains on the battlefield to launch auto-attacks and generate additional heat. If the off-field popcorn pot strikes an enemy when your heat is at one hundred or above, Ju FuFu surrounds the target with an Open Pot chain, triggering a buff called Fired Up that grants all allies a thirty-four percent critical damage increase and a fifteen percent ultimate damage boost for twenty seconds, refreshing with each proc. While in the Fired Up state, her impact force increases by twenty-four, and if her base attack stat is at least two thousand eight hundred, she gains an additional point zero six impact for each point above that threshold, up to thirty-six extra impact. Additionally, if your party contains any attack or rupture units, their maximum decibel capacity is increased to three thousand five hundred, allowing the entire team to charge ultimates more swiftly.

Ju FuFu’s mindscape cinema levels further amplify her battlefield presence and ensure that every rotation is a spectacle. With Mindscape Cinema Three, she gains a level two skill level buff for her basic attack, dodge, assist, special, and chain abilities. With Mindscape Cinema Four, after she uses an Open Pot chain and follows it with an assist slam, she regains one Heat Rotation stack and grants herself three hundred attacks for twenty seconds. With Mindscape Cinema Five, a second level two buff is then applied to all her skills. With Mindscape Cinema Six, upon landing her third basic attack ten times on a target, she inflicts the Wounded status, which guarantees thirty percent extra fire damage from critical hits for fifteen seconds, while her fourth hit against wounded enemies deals an additional twenty-five percent of her attack stat as fire damage.

In practice, a typical Ju FuFu combo begins with a three-hit basic attack to build heat, holding on the third slash to enter the fourth for massive damage, then weaving in a Perfect Dodge to trigger the Dodge Counter and gain decibels. From there, dash into the High-Speed Spin to earn Heat Rotation stacks and push your heat over one hundred for an Open Pot chain. Immediately after the chain, switch characters briefly to allow the popcorn pot to auto-attack, then return to unleash your EX Special Attack for maximum heat gain. Once your decibel bar is full, finish the rotation with your Ultimate, washing the battlefield in fire and resetting your heat for the next cycle. Practicing this flow will make you a fearsome Ju FuFu pilot, capable of sustaining pressure and controlling the battlefield through stun, daze, and explosion after explosion.

She offers an exhilarating blend of mobility, crowd control, and raw firepower, all anchored by her popcorn pot mechanics and heat gauge. Learning to master each aspect of her kit—from basic combos and dodge counters to chain attacks—will unlock her full potential and earn you victories.
