Yanagi Character Information
Tsukishiro Yanagi, an S-Rank Electric Anomaly Agent from Section 6, showcases her combat prowess with a naginata perfectly suited to her slender frame. Her electrifying attacks and dynamic stance-switching mechanics make her a formidable opponent on the battlefield. In combat, Yanagi seamlessly alternates between two different styles, allowing her moves and buffs to adapt based on her current stance. Maintaining a rhythm in switching stances enables her to continuously benefit from various buffs, enhancing her overall effectiveness. Each time she deals damage with a Basic Attack after switching stances, her Anomaly Buildup increases, setting the stage for her devastating EX Special Attack. Upon activation, she enters the Shinrabanshou state, executing a powerful forward stab followed by a downward strike that deals Electric damage. If her target is affected by an Anomaly, Yanagi triggers a special Disorder effect without removing the Anomaly, while simultaneously granting herself a powerful buff, making her a key asset in any team composition.
Yanagi Pros & Cons
- Pros
- She enables the mono-electric teams with her ability to deal consistent shock damage.
- Anomaly characters are stronger in general when compared to traditional hypercarries, so Yanagi is shaping up to be a meta unit.
- She can trigger Polarity Disorder to deal additional Electric Anomaly damage.
- Yanagi's kit contains a special stance, which lets her execute advanced combos.
- She is a self-sufficient agent capable of increasing her Electric DMG with Core Skill.
- Yanagi could use Anton and Seth from the A-Rank lineup and doesn’t necessarily demand premium support.
- Cons
- ZZZ has introduced many Anomaly units so far, with each pushing the boundaries of the fighting style. Therefore, Yanagi may not be as future-proof as one would have hoped.
- She requires excellent dodging skills; otherwise, it could take a while to see her massive damage number.

- Yanagi Skill Priority
Tsukishiro Yanagi, as an electric attribute character, mainly performs special attacks to switch between two stances and use the buffs of both. The EX Special Attack allows her to enter the Shinrabanshou state, where she continuously performs Electric attacks that accumulate Electric Anomaly Buildup as well as Polarity Disorder to deal damage. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade the special Attack and Ultimate first to increase the damage from Polarity Disorder in addition to regular damage and Daze Multipliers, increasing Yanagi's overall damage. Then, upgrading the Basic Attack could be considered, as it still has a high proportion of overall damage.
In conclusion, upgrade Yanagi's skills in the forllowing order: Core Skill > Special Attack >= Assist > Basic Attack = Chain Attack = Dodge.
Yanagi Best Teams and Bangboo
Yanagi is a powerhouse when it comes to enabling Anomaly-based compositions and can be used in Mono-Electric as well as more diverse teams.
- Yanagi (Main DPS), Burnice (Sub DPS), Caesar (Support)
Yanagi requires quite a bit of field time to be at her best, so pairing her with an off-field Agent like Burnice is a good way to give her the room she needs. Burnice and Yanagi can easily trigger the powerful Polarity Disorders from her kit, applying Shock and Burn in equal measure. Caesar is an excellent support, providing a shield to keep them healthy and debuffing enemies.
Lucy and Seth are solid alternative options for the third slot, providing various fitting buffs.
- Yanagi (Main DPS), Grace (Sub DPS), Rina (Support)
A Mono-Electric team that sources a lot of its damage from triggering Disorder would usually not be a good idea, since the effect ordinarily requires two different Attribute Anomalies to work. The Polarity Disorder effect is different, though, as it can be triggered by two Shock effects as well – this opens the door to a potent Electric Anomaly team around Yanagi and Grace, who are both experts at applying this effect. You can support this team with Rina for teamwide PEN boosts and higher Electric DMG.
Alternatively, you can add Anby, Qingyi, or Seth for more stun power and damage, though be aware that both Yanagi and Grace already hog the valuable field time in this team.
