I. Xilonen Strengths and Weaknesses
- Strengths
- Provides an easy-to-trigger RES shred that does not need any intricate rotations to benefit off of.
- RES shred scales on nothing but Elemental Skill level, making her a high-impact character even with low investment.
- Can fill both the Healer and Buffer roles in most teams, with the potential to also take up a Burst Sub-DPS role.
- Elemental Burst conditionally provides on-demand heal when needed, on top of being decent damage.
- Weaknesses
- Requires two characters that are not Geo) in order to activate her RES shred buffs and on-field Elemental Burst healing.
- Healing is only single-target unless she is at C6.
- Elemental Skill is unable to generate Samplers with Anemo and Dendro.
II. Xilonen Best Builds
When building Xilonen, determine whether or not you will be playing her as a pure Support, or a potential DPS. As all of her abilities scale with DEF, it will be the main stat focus of your build.
On that note, build to either increase her supportive capabilities with Energy Recharge, DEF, and Healing Bonus stats, or all-in for her Sub-DPS playstyle by focusing on DEF and CRIT stats.
1. Geo Shredder Support
Xilonen thrives off of the 4-pc. Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, letting her and her teammates benefit off of the Elemental DMG Bonus stacked with Xilonen's Resistance shred.
This build assumes that you are double-downing on Xilonen's role as a shredder-healer support, maximizing her supportive capabilities to aid the team.
2. Geo DPS
If using Xilonen as a DPS, you can instead opt for a DEF-scaling CRIT build, with the standard DEF% Sands, Geo DMG Goblet, and CRIT Circlet.
This also has the added benefit of still being formidable as a support, but even more so since she has the personal damage to contribute in a fight.
3. Xilonen Talent Priority
1st (Elemental Skill) > 2nd (Elemental Burst) > 3rd (Normal Attack)
Xilonen's RES shred scales solely on the level of her Elemental Skill, so focus on maxing it out as much as possible in order to reap the maximum benefits from Xilonen.
Afterwards, level Xilonen's Elemental Burst in order to raise both the damage and the heal scalings. Level her Normal Attacks last as they are more for Xilonen's personal damage.
III. Xilonen Best Artifacts
Xilonen excels as a buffer unit from Natlan, making the new Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City her best Artifact Set as it gives Elemental DMG Bonus to everyone in the team.
Xilonen can also run Husk of Opulent Dreams for the universal buffs to her Geo DMG and DEF, and can also run 2-pc. combinations that increase her DEF and Energy Recharge.
Xilonen Artifact Rankings
1st (Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City):
- 2-PC: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.
- 4-PC: After the equipping character triggers a reaction, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the involved Elemental Types for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the reaction for 20s.
2nd (Husk of Opulent Dreams):
- 2-PC: DEF +30%
- 4-PC: A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s. When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost.
3rd (Emblem of Severed Fate):
- 2-PC: Energy Recharge +20%
IV. Xilonen Best Weapons
As a DEF-scaler and shredder support, Xilonen wants to use weapons that either buff her DEF, increase her Energy Recharge, or help the team out with bonus Elemental DMG.
Her Signature Weapon will likely offer a passive that works for Xilonen specifically, making it her best choice. Other than that, she can also make use of 4-star DEF weapons like Cinnabar Spindle and the Flute of Ezpitzal.
Xilonen Weapon Rankings

V. Xilonen Best Team Comps
As a RES shredder, Xilonen excels in teams that allow her to lower enemy resistances and increase the team's damage.
With that in mind, Xilonen fits in most team comps that use any Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo character as their carry, but can also excel in Geo-focused teams provided that there are 2 characters different from Geo in the team.
1. Xilonen Vaporize Teams
Xilonen can fulfill the buffer role in Vaporize teams, being able to constantly shred the Pyro and Hydro RES of enemies without interrupting elemental reactions due to her low Geo application.
This makes her especially effective in Vaporize teams where Hydro cannot consistently be swirled by someone like Kazuha, as she bypasses the need for proper set-up entirely.
2. Xilonen Melt/Freeze Teams
Freeze teams often suffer from a low damage ceiling, which is something that Xilonen can remedy by taking on the role of both healer and buffer, allowing the team to slot in another damage-oriented unit.
She is also able to consistently buff both Cryo and Hydro, and can even be paired with Shenhe in order to skyrocket the amount of Cryo damage that the team can output.
3. Xilonen Mono Teams
In mono elemental teams, Xilonen is able to buff all the characters involved in the team, as all of them are likely to come from the same element.
She can also run these teams with another buffer in order to augment the team's overall damage even more, especially if their Main and Sub DPS units already have enough damage on their own.
4. Xilonen Navia Teams
Xilonen fulfills the role of buffer and Geo Resonance partner for Navia, as slotting her in Navia's premium Pyro team allows Navia to take advantage of Pyro Resonance, Geo Resonance, and the default Geo RES shred from Xilonen.
These array of buffs also extend to any elemental Sub-DPS that the team has due to Xilonen's RES shred, making them more formidable while still being able to contribute to Navia's crystallize reactions without interruption.
5. Xilonen Hypercarry Teams
Xilonen can specifically team up with one elemental Main DPS, Furina, and Kazuha in order to serve as both the healer and one of the three buffers in the team.
Unlike most team comps, this team puts absolute focus on enhancing the raw damage coming from the Main DPS as much as possible, bypassing any setup or reaction in favor of straightforward and strong damage.
