We have received some fresh details about Genshin Impact patch five point six. Effie is set to debut as the latest limited five-star character in this patch. We have got new insights on her kit, playstyle, and constellations.
Effie is a limited five-star character and a Cryo polearm user. There is nothing special about her normal attack, as it is the same as other polearm characters.
Effie’s Elemental Skill enables her to perform automatic off-field coordinated attacks—one hit per second, up to three hits—with each hit applying Cryo to enemies every two point five seconds. Her damage-dealing ability has been compared to Furina’s, thanks to its similar setup.
Her Elemental Burst instantly heals the entire team, followed by continuous single-target healing. The healing scales off her attack stat, so investing in as much attack as possible will boost her healing potential—similar to Xianyun. Finally, an even better team-wide healer, Furina stocks just went through the roof. So, her ability level priority is first her Elemental Burst, then her Elemental Skill, and lastly her Normal Attack.
Moving on to her passive talent: if your entire party consists only of Hydro and Cryo characters, all enemies will have their Hydro and Cryo resistance reduced by forty-five percent. That’s a significant debuff, which will substantially increase the damage output of Hydro and Cryo characters. If this holds true, characters like Neuvillette and Wriothesley could become nearly unstoppable. Neuvillette definitely needs a buff to stay meta relevant. He is one of the worst characters in Genshin Impact, especially after the release of Mavuika. This passive is perfect for Hydro- and Cryo-focused Freeze teams. This is a huge buff to Ayaka freeze and Ganyu freeze teams, hopefully making them viable again. But expect to wait for the Tsaritsa to release to actually see insane buffs to Cryo unless she is a main D.P.S. like Mavuika.
As a solo cryo, expect to need two hundred percent energy recharge. Whereas in a double cryo team, expect to need one hundred fifty percent energy recharge.
For her sands, goblet, and circlet’s main stats, use attack percent. Alternatively, use an energy recharge percent main stat for her sands.
Effie’s substat priorities are energy recharge until the threshold, second attack percent, third flat attack, fourth H.P. percent, and lastly crit substats.
For artifact sets, Effie might release with a new set, and if so, farm that one and use it. Otherwise, expect Ocean-Hued Clam to be really good with her and Golden Troupe to an offensive alternative.
Obviously her signature polearm is her best. For other weapons, use Favonius Lance, the Catch, Missive Windspear, Prospector's Drill, or Royal Spear.
Effie’s best team is Neuvillette, Furina, and Citlali. Effie can be used as a Shenhe replacement with Ayaka, Mona, and Rosaria. She could also be used with Shenhe alongside Ayaka and Kokomi. Ganyu Morgana teams are back with Mona, Diona, and Effie. Additionally, Wriothesley, Yelan, Effie, and Furina are a good team. A completely free-to-play team includes Effie, Chongyun, Rosaria, and Xingqiu.
Now, Effie’s constellations. The first constellation modifies her passive talent’s trigger condition, allowing you to include one non-Hydro or non-Cryo character in your party. This is a game-changing constellation and should be on every character that has restrictions, like Chevreuse and Nilou. Classic Hoyoverse, selling you a solution to a problem they created. Constellations two through six focus on boosting her own damage, with constellation six’s damage being comparable to that of Furina’s constellation six, which is one of the best constellations in the game. Effie is described as a dedicated support or party member for Skirk and a freeze-focused version of Chevreuse. This better not be true because then Skirk would be Cryo and not Quantum. Skirk needs to be Quantum, or I am quitting Genshin Impact. As for Melt reactions, she won’t be effective for them.
