Video Guide:
Introduction:
This is a free-to-play guide for the upcoming Imaginary Hunt four-star character, March 7th. She is one of the characters to be released in Patch two point four and will most likely appear in Phase one of Patch two point four with the continuation of the Xianzhou storyline. This is the first alternate path for March 7th and her path switching is similar to the Trailblazer’s. March 7th will be free including her eidolons by the new permanent event. She is the first four star Imaginary Hunt character, but seems to be a support.
Eidolons:
March 7th’s Eidolon One, My Sword Stirs Starlight, increases the critical damage of her next Enhanced Basic Attack by 36% after using her ultimate.
March 7th’s Eidolon Two, Blade Dances on Waves' Fight, states that after the Master uses their Basic attack or Skill to attack an enemy, March 7th immediately launches a follow-up attack and deals Imaginary damage equal to 60% of March 7th's attack to the target enemy. Additionally, triggers an effect corresponding to Master's Path and gains 1 Charge. If there is no target enemy that can be attacked, March 7th attacks a random enemy. This effect can only be triggered once per turn.
March 7th’s Eidolon Four, Being Fabulous Never Frights, regenerates 5 energy at the beginning of the turn.
March 7th’s Eidolon Six, Me, the Best Girl on Sight, increases the Master’s Critical Damage or Critical Rate by 60% and Break Effect by 36% for 2 turns after using Enhanced Basic Attack.
Traces:
March 7th’s trace stats include attack, critical rate, and defense.
March 7th’s Major Trace 1, Soaring Swan, advanced forward March 7th’s action by 25% at the beginning of the battle.
March 7th’s Major Trace 2, Acute Smarts, allows for March 7th to reduce the Toughness of enemies with Weakness of Master's Type. When inflicting Weakness Break, also triggers the Imaginary Weakness Break effect.
March 7th’s Major Trace 3, Gliding Waves, increases March 7th's speed by 10% when Master is on the field.
Abilities:
March 7th’s basic attack, My Sword Zaps Demons, deals imaginary damage to a single enemy and gains one charge.
March 7th’s enhanced basic attack, Brows Be Smitten, Heart Be Bitten, states that this attack deals 3 Hits Per Action initially. Each hit against the target enemy deals Imaginary damage equal to 50% of March 7th's attack. After dealing the final hit, there is a 60% fixed chance to deal 1 extra hit, up to 3 extra hits. Energy regenerated from using Enhanced Basic attack does not increase with the number of Hits Per Action. Enhanced Basic attack cannot recover Skill Points.
March 7th’s skill, Master, It's Tea Time!, appoints a single ally, apart from March 7th, as the Master and increases their speed by 6%. Only the latest target of March 7th's Skill will be regarded as her Master. When using Basic attack or dealing damage from 1 hit of March 7th’s Enhanced Basic attack, triggers the following effects based on the specific Path of the Master: Erudition, Destruction, and The Hunt: Additionally deals Additional damage, Combat Type based on the Master's Combat Type, equal to 10% of March 7th's attack. Harmony, Nihility, Preservation, and Abundance: The Toughness Reduction for this damage increases by 100%.
March 7th’s ultimate, March 7th, the Apex Heroine, costs 110 energy. It deals Imaginary damage equal to 144% of March 7th's attack to a single target enemy. Increases the initial Hits Per Action of the next Enhanced Basic attack by 2 hits and increases the fixed chance of additionally dealing damage by 20%.
March 7th’s talent, Master, I've Ascended!, states that after the Master uses an attack or Ultimate, March 7th gains up to 1 Charge each time. When the Charge is at 7 or more, March 7th immediately takes action again, and increases the damage she deals by 40%. Her Basic attack is Enhanced, and only her Enhanced Basic attack can be used. After using Enhanced Basic attack, consumes 7 Charge.
March 7th’s technique, Feast in One Go, states that if March 7th is in the team, every time an ally uses Technique, March 7th gains a Charge upon entering the next battle, up to 3 Charges. After using her Technique, March 7th regenerates 30 Energy upon entering the next battle.
Kit Analysis:
From the Kit Overview, it seems like March 7th is a free-to-play single target D.P.S. and partially a support with her skill, Master, It's Tea Time! The Master’s speed is increased and either additional damage or increased toughness reduction based on the path of the master of March 7th’s Basic Attack or Enhanced Basic Attack damage. March 7th’s Eidolon One, My Sword Stirs Starlight, is decent because it increases critical damage of her next enhanced basic attack. March 7th’s Eidolon Two, Blade Dances on Waves' Fight, allows her to launch a follow-up attack after the master uses either their basic attack or skill. This eidolon allows for March 7th to be played on follow up attack teams, but these teams will likely not be optimal for March 7th. March 7th’s Eidolon Four, Being Fabulous Never Frights, is decent by regenerating 5 energy. March 7th’s Eidolon Six, Me, the Best Girl on Sight, makes her an even better support by increasing the Master’s Critical Rate or Critical Damage and Break Effect for 2 turns. March 7th’s Major Trace 1, Soaring Swan, is decent. March 7th’s Major Trace 2, Acute Smarts, is very good for free-to-play players because you don’t have to build every element type as March 7th can reduce enemies’ toughness by the Master’s type. March 7th’s Major Trace 3, Gliding Waves, is decent because it increases her speed.
F2P Friendly?
I will go over non-gacha options if you want to play March 7th as a free-to-play player. Since she is given for free and partially a support, you can use her on whatever team you want. Her best team is currently unknown. Since March 7th is a single target character, she will be most effective in Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadow.
Scaling:
March 7th’s kit scales off attack. Therefore, it is important to focus on Attack percent Relic substats.
Relic Sets:
March 7th’s best four-piece relic set is Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters statistically at an one hundred percent uptime, but this is highly unlikely to maintain since March 7th does not provide a debuff. Its two piece effect is to increase damage dealt to enemies with a debuff by 12%. Its four piece effect is to increase Critical Rate by 4%. The wearer deals 8% or 12% increased Critical Damage to enemies with at least 2 or 3 debuffs. After the wearer inflicts a debuff on enemy targets, the aforementioned effects increase by 100%, lasting for 1 turn. A more realistic relic set combination is Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters and Wastelander of Banditry Desert. This will still require one debuff on enemies, but can be applied by allies. Wastelander of Banditry Desert’s two piece relic set effect is to increase Imaginary damage by 10%. It may be possible to replace Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters with The Ashblazing Grand Duke in combination with Wastelander of Banditry Desert depending on if March 7th’s follow up attack is vital to her damage output. The Ashblazing Grand Duke increases follow-up attack damage by 20% with its two piece relic set effect. Alternatively, you can use Ashblazing Grand Duke with Musketeer of Wild Wheat, whose effect is to increase Attack by 12%. A four-piece relic set that March 7th can use is Wastelander of Banditry Desert. Its four piece effect is that when attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer's Critical Rate increases by 10%, and their Critical Damage increases by 20% against Imprisoned enemies.
Planar Sets:
March 7th’s best planar set is probably Inert Salsotto. It increases the wearer's Critical Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current Critical Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer's Ultimate and follow-up attack damage increases by 15%. March 7th can launch follow up attacks and her ultimate deals damage to a single target. Theoretically, March 7th can use Firmament Frontline: Glamoth, but practically, she is unlikely to have 135 speed or 160 speed. So, either Space Sealing Station or Rutilant Arena can suffice. Obviously, if March 7th gets a signature relic set and a planar set, use those instead.
Relic Main Stats:
March 7th should use either a Critical Rate or Critical Damage main stat for the body relic piece. For the feet relic piece, March 7th can either use the speed main stat or the attack percent main stat. March 7th can either use the imaginary damage main stat or the attack percent main stat for the planar sphere. An attack percent link rope main stat will likely be the most optimal for March 7th.
Relic Sub Stats:
The relic sub stat priority for March 7th will likely be Critical Rate or Critical Damage, then attack percent, and lastly speed.
Recommended Endgame Stats:
Recommended endgame stats for March 7th will likely be two thousand seven hundred H.P., two thousand one hundred attack, eight hundred defense, one hundred twenty speed, sixty percent critical rate, and one hundred twenty percent critical damage.
Ability Priority:
March 7th’s ability priority is likely talent, then basic attack or skill, and lastly ultimate.
Major trace priority:
March 7th’s major trace priority is likely Acute Smarts, then Gliding Waves, and lastly Soaring Swan.
Light cones:
March 7th’s best light cone is likely either Topaz’s Signature Light Cone or Dr. Ratio’s Signature Light Cone if her follow up attacks play a major part in her damage. But, if not, then her best light cone is Seele’s Signature Light Cone which increases her critical rate and for every 10 speed above 100, the damage of her basic attack and skill is increased and the critical damage of her ultimate is increased up to 6 stacks. It is highly unlikely you have any of these five star light cones if you are a free-to-play player, so I will go over some four star options. Two conditional four star light cones that can be obtained from the stellar warp are Swordplay and Only Silence Remains. Swordplay increases the damage dealt for each time March 7th hits the same target up to 5 stacks. Only Silence Remains increases March 7th’s attack and if there are 2 or fewer enemies on the field, increases March 7th's Critical Rate. If you have neither light cone or cannot maintain one hundred percent uptime, there is a completely free-to-play light cone option. Cruising in the Stellar Sea can be obtained from Herta's Store. It increases March 7th's Critical Rate and increases her Critical Rate against enemies with H.P. less than or equal to 50% by an extra amount. When March 7th defeats an enemy, her attack is increased for 2 turns. For 3 star light cone options, March 7th can use either Arrows or Darting Arrow.
Teams:
March 7th’s best team is currently unknown. She could likely be used in a premium follow up attack team with herself, Topaz, Robin, and Aventurine because March 7th can launch a follow up attack. She could also be used in break effect teams if you don’t have Ruan Mei because of her skill and trace to reduce toughness reduction. A premium team could be March 7th, either Boothill or Firefly, the harmony trailblazer and gallagher. March 7th could potentially be used in D.O.T. teams, but not optimally as there are good four star D.O.T. characters. A premium team could be Kafka, Black Swan, March 7th, and Huohuo. March 7th could likely be used in any hyper carry team including free-to-play hyper carry teams Xueyi, harmony trailblazer, and gallagher. She could also be used in a team with Dr. Ratio, Gallagher and Tingyun. Pela and Asta could replace Tingyun in this team.
