Will Fugue be O.P.? Yes, she will be overpowered because she is speculated to be a break support. Break teams are currently the best meta team, so Fugue being a part of that team will undoubtedly make her powerful. Fugue is five-star Tingyun. From her official drip marketing, she is a five-star fire character following the path of Nihility. From the release order of the official Hoyoverse drip marketing photos, we know that Fugue’s banner will be in the second half of patch two point seven, with Sunday being in the first half of patch two point seven. Fugue’s Basic Attack and Ultimate perform attacks, while her Skill does not perform an attack. There is some additional information about Fugue’s skill; she attaches a tail to one ally. When the affected ally attacks, there is a seventy percent chance that the target will be inflicted with Burn. There is also some more additional information about Fugue’s ultimate; she generates five additional tails for a total of six and enters an unknown named state, which states that whenever an ally takes action, one tail is consumed, granting a different buff to the ally based on their current path with groups as follows: Hunt or Destruction, Nihility or Abundance, and Preservation or Harmony. This action also deals fire damage as a bonus effect; however, this damage cannot inflict burn. The unknown named state ends if Fugue becomes unable to act or after five tails are consumed. From this skill and ultimate speculation, Fugue does not seem to be a break character but rather a D.O.T. character because of her skill, which inflicts burn. However, this speculated ultimate could be a break effect buff, which would be in line with Fugue being a break support, so I would not rule this information out yet. Some other speculated information is that Fugue is not solely dedicated to Break teams but can be useful in them, similar to Ruan Mei. This dream suggests that Fugue’s skill creates an aura that designates a single-target ally and boosts the team's stats based on that ally, comparable to March Seventh's skill. It also suggests that Fugue’s ultimate attacks all enemies and applies a debuff, though it's not guaranteed to hit. It can be triggered multiple times. Furthermore, it suggests that Fugue’s talent offers multiple functions, such as increasing damage, advancing actions, and energy charging. According to this dream, Fugue is a general-purpose support rather than one specialized in break mechanics. Take this dream with a huge grain of salt because it is not too similar with the previous speculation I mentioned. Other dreams suggest that Fugue usually has one tail, but when using her Ultimate, there are many tails, which is consistent with prior speculation. This dream also suggests that part of Fugue's trace or talent will provide permanent superbreak in some way. Fugue’s best free five-star light cone is Solitary Healing; its effect at refinement level five is that it increases Fugue's Break Effect by forty percent. When the wearer unleashes their Ultimate, it increases the D.O.T. dealt by the wearer by forty-eight percent for two turns. When the target suffering from the wearer's D.O.T. is defeated, the wearer regenerates eight energy. Fugue’s best relic set is Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge. Its two-piece effect increases Break Effect by sixteen percent. Its four-piece effect is that if Fugue's Break Effect is one hundred fifty percent or higher, the Break damage dealt to the enemy target ignores ten percent of their defense. If Fugue's Break Effect is two hundred fifty percent or higher, the Super Break damage dealt to the enemy target additionally ignores fifteen percent of their defense. Fugue’s best planar set is Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern. Its two-piece effect increases Fugue's speed by six percent. When Fugue hits an enemy target that has fire weakness, Fugue's Break Effect increases by forty percent, lasting for one turn. For Fugue’s body piece, use an effect hit rate main stat. For Fugue’s feet piece, use a speed main stat. For Fugue’s planar sphere piece, use an H.P. main stat. For Fugue’s link rope piece, use an energy regeneration rate main stat. Another dream suggests that Fugue will replace the imaginary harmony trailblazer and Ruan Mei in superbreak teams. This could be possible if Fugue provides more superbreak than the Trailblazer. The Harmony Trailblazer is already overpowered, so powercreeping him would make Fugue really good and meta-defining. Another dream suggests that Fugue's skill can transform her into a mystic beast, and like Moze, she can leave the field. I would not believe this dream because it is not even close to other dreams. Another dream suggests that her abilities will allow teammates to break enemies weakness regardless of their weakness type or an implant. This would likely buff Rappa, and Fugue would be the best in slot support for Rappa because Rappa cannot implant imaginary weakness on enemies with her abilities but requires breaking enemies toughness bars completely to maximize her damage potential. Fugue will be a decent support for other teams like Ruan Mei, specifically in Acheron-focused teams and D.O.T. teams. Fugue’s ultimate applies a debuff to enemies; it could either be a general debuff like Jiaoqiu, which makes the enemy take more damage, reduces defense and resistances, or applies break damage taken. The new patch two point six memory of chaos Memory Turbulence seems to directly buff Fugue. It reads as follows: Enemies have exo-toughness, and their actions are delayed by thirty percent after they are weakness-broken. At the same time, add one hit to Memory Turbulence's Hits Per Action. If the target is an Elite enemy or higher, then additionally add two hits, up to a maximum of ten hits. At the start of every Cycle, every hit by the Memory Turbulence causes one instance of damage, dealing a set amount of damage to random enemy targets. Exo toughness is a new mechanic that adds an additional break bar to the enemy, which can be broken continuously. Fugue will apply debuffs when the toughness bar is broken, so exo toughness makes this happen an infinite amount of times. All enemies become immune to Crowd Control debuffs. The current meta-break characters are Firefly, Boothill, Rappa, Gallagher, Linghsa, Harmony Trailblazer, and Ruan Mei. The off-meta-break characters include Hunt March Seventh, Serval, Sushang, and Xueyi. The current meta D.O.T. characters are Kakfa and Black Swan. The off-meta D.O.T. characters are Guinaifen, Jiaoqiu, Luka, and Sampo. Patch three point zero and beyond characters are speculated to have a lot of Nihility characters, so Fugue might be the overpowered Nihility right before the next major patch. With the summon mechanic coming so soon, it could be possible that Fugue is also a summon support, but it is unlikely since there is a nihility summon support in the future and Sunday is speculated to be the main summon support buffer. It is speculated that Fugue can be played with the Remembrance Trailblazer or a Master of Remembrance, who will be playable in the version three point zero patch cycle. The speculated reason for why Hoyoverse chose October 11th to release Fugue’s official drip marketing is that there is a Double Ninth Festival in China. People will visit graves and burn Joss paper to pay their respects. Fugue will get a Myriad Celestia trailer and an animation trailer. Fugue’s appearance. Outfit: long black dress with a waist cincher. The chest area resembles a crossed collar style, with the upper chest exposure similar to Genshin's Raiden. Hairstyle: long hair. White with a hint of pink for her tails. Body Features: Bare legs, at least four tails. From Fugue’s official drip marketing, we can confirm that this is accurate.
Drip Marketing: Benefactor, though the Cosmos stretches far and wide and the stars fill the sky, as long as we hold each other in our thoughts, there will always be a chance for reunion. A tactful foxian girl, whose appearance, name, and identity have all been stolen. The fates have left her a thread of chance at survival, yet the brand of destruction still writhes with anticipation. The one in a fugue who has experienced life and death and is given a new life... when would she be able to return home?
