Win Conditions
- Try and play around your Passive and trade when its up. Don’t look for an extended fight unless your Passive is up otherwise you’ll miss out on extra damage.
- You can use your E to reposition your Q sweet spots. This includes using your E forwards, backwards and even left or right.
- Play safe at level 1, and then look to play aggressive from levels 2 to 6. Aatrox is an early game dominant champion, so make sure you play aggressive early on.
Weak Against
- Vayne: Vayne's mobility and W passive make her a difficult matchup for Aatrox. She can easily dodge Aatrox's skill shots, reposition herself, and her true damage is painful.
- Warwick: Warwick's sustain and crowd control make it challenging for Aatrox to win extended trades. Warwick's passive healing, combined with his Q allows him to outsustain Aatrox in trades.
- Garen: Garen's tankiness and passive grant him sustain in the lane, making it difficult for Aatrox to poke him down. Garen's Silence can also disrupt Aatrox's combos.
Strong Against
- K'Sante: K'Sante's main power comes at the later stages of the game when he gets his items, but before that point Aatrox is able to bully him and also kill him later on too.
- Sion: Sion's relatively low early-game damage allows Aatrox to engage and trade effectively. Aatrox can dodge Sion's skill shots and use his mobility to outmaneuver him.
- Gangplank: Aatrox can pressure Gangplank in the early game before he scales with his barrels. Aatrox's high damage and ability to stick to Gangplank can make it difficult for him to farm safely.
