Introduction

Diana is a great midlane champion. In addition to her fun one-shots, she has great wave clear early game compared to many mid laners which allows her to create tempo recalls.

Diana also has great flexibility such as splitting and team fighting. Her splitting is excellent, especially with her passive Moonsilver Blade which destroys turrets much faster than many people expect. Combine this with Lich Bane and her side skirmishing and turret destruction speed are very strong. If the game needs, you can also decide to team fight instead of split push, Diana's ult allows for her team fighting and skirmishing to excel when compared with many other champions. Being able to shove waves and destroy turrets quickly places Diana in an advantageous spot when comparing her with other assassins.

Diana is also a great dive champion, being able to Flash, Crescent Strike, Lunar Rush, Pale Cascade onto the enemy backline one-shotting them when you are really fed, or even playing peel for your ADC with your ult when you are behind. Diana's flexibility gives lots of creativity when playing her. Most of all Diana is a really fun champion that's easy to pick up!

Diana's Tips

  • Diana gains bonus attack speed from her Moonsilver Blade passive after casting an ability.
  • Diana every third basic attack deals additionally damage and cleaves in the cone.
  • Diana Moonsilver Blade passive also works on structures.
  • Enemies hit by Diana Crescent Strike Q reveals them for 3 seconds.
  • Lunar Rush cooldown is reseted if enemy was hit by Crescent Strike Q, you can use other abilities during the dash.
  • Moonfall damage is increased for each champion pulled in.
  • When Chasing people, or an enemy is low health nearby, you can gap close really fast if minions are nearby by using Q on a minion and instantly using E to that minion into using Hextech Rocketbelt and using E one more time towards the enemy champion. You can also surpise an ADC that is alone in mid lane farming by additionally using R on them to one shot.
  • You can get two uses of E with one Q by quickly using E on an enemy champion or minion/camp before it hits the next target.
  • You can extend the range of Q by flashing to the left when you throw it out.
  • Remember to use Q on enemy champions when they go for last hits on minions.
  • When walking in the river, use your Q on side brushes to reveal hidden control wards as the tip of Q gives vision.
  • Make sure to use E instantly after casting Q for a more fluid and fast animation as you will still get the reset as long as Q hits the enemy you are using it on.
  • Remember to be on the left side of the lane if you are trying to shove fast with Q. If you are on the right side, the angle of Q won't be able to hit all of the minions. (This is top side of lane when you start blue and bot side of lane when you start red side)
  • If possible buy Control Ward on almost every other back as vision is extremely important to Diana. (Buy one almost always if you don't have one set up already).
  • Make sure you are not over grouping mid with team and you shove in side lanes first (as safe as possible) before grouping with your team. Sometimes you can even just continue pushing instead of grouping and take turrets fast if you win side or no one shows up.) Levels and gold are very valuable on Diana!

Diana Ability Combos

  • AA + W + Q + AA + AA: To trade while hiding your first attack AA and W as soon as the animation starts. Instantly Q followed by more AAs.
  • AA + Q + E + AA + W + E: You can sneakily trade with your passive. AA your first target twice then Q E your main target. Instantly AA W upon landing, then E back to safety on a different enemy.
  • W + AA + AA + Q + E + AA + AA + AA + E + AA: For a melee range all in W then AA twice, use Q E instantly and AA three times. E again, then AA once more.
  • Q + E + W + AA + R + AA + E + AA: Your basic level 6 all in is to Q E instantly and use W mid air. Upon landing AA R AA then E and AA as the follow up.
  • E + R + W + Q + AA +AA + AA: To burst your target E then R mid air. Use W Q while they are knocked up then AA three times to proc Diana's passive.
  • W + FLASH + E + Q: To quickly burst a low HP target W, instantly Flash and E Q as quickly as you can.
  • Q + E + R + FLASH + W + AA + AA + E + AA: For a long range all in to get onto the carries in a teamfight Q E your first target then R and instantly Flash to your next. Use W once they are pulled together and AA twice then E AA.
  • W +AA + R + AA + E + Q + AA: For surprise burst damage on the enemy backline in a teamfight W AA your first target then R AA and instantly E your main target. Cast Q as quickly as you can then AA.
  • Q + E + AA + E + R + AA + E + W + AA: To E three times in one teamfight Q E your first target instantly but make sure your Q hits your second target. AA upon landing, E to your second target and R AA. E your third target instantly before your R damage lands, then AA upon arriving.
  • W + E + R + Q + AA: To quickly use your spell rotation and mop up a kill W and instantly E. While in mid air cast R so that it finishes its cast as you arrive, then quickly Q AA.
  • R + FLASH + Q + W + AA + E + AA + E + AA: To engage from further away than expected R and instantly Flash Q W, then AA E followed by AA E AA.

Teamfighting

For teamfighting as Diana, you want to make sure you look to one shot priority targets.

Usually, look to kill the ADC, however, there are times when the mid laner would be more of a priority. If possible, always come in from the flank, especially after shoving a side wave and going to the objective fight.

If possible, you want to use Q, E, and R onto the enemy ADC or priority target, preferably if you find that they are grouped up with others. However, sometimes you will have to just use E onto enemy from the flank and R with Zhonya's Hourglass s you won't have the luxury of starting with Q.
