Garen does a lot of damage with the extended fighting potential of his E and other abilities, so Conqueror synergizes great.

Win Conditions
- If you’ve been bullied heavily by the enemy champion, hold back and wait for your Passive to kick in to gain some health back.
- Use your W as a tool to avoid CC or burst when trading. You do not want to be caught without it when the enemy Jungler ganks your lane, so only use it when you’re committing for to a trade.
- You can cancel your E early and finish the enemy off with basic attacks. Keep this in mind if you are planning on using your R to execute the enemy.
Weak Against
- Vayne: Vayne's W and mobility allow her to kite Garen effectively, making it difficult for Garen to engage and deal damage. She can also use Condemn to push Garen away if he tries to engage.
- Camille: Camille's high burst damage and crowd control from E make her a formidable opponent for Garen. She can engage, burst down Garen, and quickly disengage, minimizing Garen's sustain and durability advantages.
- Kayle: Kayle's ranged attacks and scaling damage can pose a challenge for Garen in the early game. Garen's limited ranged abilities make it difficult to close the gap, and Kayle can use her R to negate Garen's all-ins.

Strong Against
- Jax: Garen's high base damage and silence from his Q can disrupt Jax's combo and trading pattern. Garen can trade favorably early on when Jax is less reliant on his passive for attack speed.
- Riven: Garen's passive healing from his passive helps him sustain through Riven's early game burst. Additionally, his silence from his Q can interrupt Riven's combo, preventing her from engaging effectively.
- Yasuo: Garen's natural tankiness and silence can disrupt Yasuo's mobility and trading. His silence can prevent Yasuo from dashing through minions.

Game Strategy
- Early Game: In the early game, Garen should focus on farming safely and harassing enemies with Decisive Strike (Q) trades. Avoid extended fights without your passive active, play cautiously if you lack vision, and look for opportunities to engage when your opponent overextends, using your combo for quick trades and disengaging.
- Mid Game: During the mid game, Garen becomes a split-push threat and durable frontline for team fights. Continue farming to complete Hullbreaker, then push side lanes and join skirmishes. Use your Villain mechanic to prioritize targets, and be a disruptive presence in team fights, using Decisive Strike to silence key enemies.
- Late Game: In the late game, Garen transitions into a powerful tank and cleanup crew. Stick with your team, initiate fights with your Decisive Strike and Judgement (E), and focus on peeling for your carries. Utilize your ultimate to execute low-health enemies and provide the decisive advantage in late-game team fights.
