Ryze is an immobile Mage, so Phase Rush really makes up for the lack of mobility since you can apply it rather quickly.

Win Conditions
- Ryze is late game champion and needs time to scale. Avoid spamming abilities because you will burn through your mana fast.
- In team fights, try stay away from enemy front line and try to burst squishy targets once they over extend.
- Be careful at level 6 because your R is for utility only and deals no damage. If the enemy has an execution or damaging ability- they will win the fight. Try to roam with your R to get kills or to apply pressure.
Weak Against
- Galio: Galio's tankiness and magic damage reduction make it difficult for Ryze to burst him down. Galio can also use his crowd control to lock down Ryze and disrupt his combos.
- Malzahar: Malzahar's suppression with his NR can lock down Ryze, preventing him from using his mobility and unleashing his damage. The Voidlings from Malzahar's passive can be annoying for Ryze as well.
- Viktor: Viktor can poke Ryze from a distance with his laser and control the lane with his W. His burst damage can also quickly take down Ryze if he gets caught in Viktor's combo.

Strong Against
- Zoe: Ryze's point-and-click crowd control with W can lock down Zoe and prevent her from utilizing her mobility and skill shots effectively. Ryze's consistent damage can also out-trade Zoe.
- Akali: Ryze's W can interrupt Akali's dashes and shroud usage. He can reveal her with his spells and keep her at bay with his range advantage.
- Vex: Vex is a relatively low mobility champion, and Ryze can punish her for this with his rune-based abilities. He can also interrupt Vex's engages with his crowd control, making it challenging for her to close the gap.

Game Strategy
- Early Game: In the early game, harass enemies with Q when they go for last hits and use Rune Prison (W) to set up ganks. Be cautious of ganks, maintain good map awareness, and prioritize teleporting to other lanes with your R for successful roams.
- Mid Game: During the mid game, Ryze becomes a potent split-pusher and teamfighter. Continue stacking your passive and look for opportunities to join skirmishes and team fights with your jungler or teleport. Use your Rune Prison to catch out-of-position enemies, and provide AoE damage in team fights with your E and Q.
- Late Game: In the late game, Ryze's damage output and utility reach their peak. Stick with your team, utilizing your abilities to peel for your carries and catch enemies with your Rune Prison. Coordinate with your team to engage fights, using your AoE damage to soften up enemies for your team to follow up.
