Sylas benefits a lot from the Inspiration Tree, and having First Strike for the extra damage is also very good for him.

Win Conditions
- While your W provides sustain, do not rely on it in the laning phase as it doesn’t heal you too much.
- Sylas’ Ultimate R can be very powerful into a lot of matchups. Stealing a strong Ultimate R can decide the fate of a teamfight, so think twice when using your Ult.
- Sylas E gives you 2 Passive Stacks (1 for the dash and 1 for the CC) and every other ability gives you 1 Stack. Using your AA after every spell cast is key on Sylas.
Weak Against
- Singed: Singed's tankiness and W ability make it impossible for you to do anything to him early game, try to play safe and scale.
- Cassiopeia: Her ground ability disables you completely and you are forced to play safe to counter that.
- Vex: Vex's range allows her to poke you for free and her fear makes it hard for you to engage her.

Strong Against
- Malphite: Malphite has no real way to do anything to do, and his ultimate is great for you to steal.
- Azir: Get away from his soldiers with your mobility and try to take matters under his nose.
- Akali: Play around her shroud, after that you will have a 20 seconds window to trade with her and early game her energy costs are too big.

Game Strategy
- Early Game: Try to get your W as often as possible against melee matchups, meanwhile against ranged champions you want to be ready to all in when they waste their crucial ability. You don't get your power spike until later on in the game, so in the early game it's all about finding small wins here and there so then you can all in.
- Mid Game: Always swap with your bot lane after the first turret is taken. Keep staying in the sidelane until you are comfortable enough to join fights. Diving can be ready if you miss the second part of your E ability, it's something you can pull off but you need to be cautious.
- Late Game: You should be getting close to your core items at this point, so making sure you focus the right target can be the difference maker. Use your stolen ultimate to zone enemies off of objectives and always mess with the enemy jungler so they don't get into the pit.
