Thresh is a playmaker Support, so the extra CC from Glacial really helps him be that much more annoying.

Win Conditions

  • Walk up to the enemy and try to engage onto them. If they use a dodge, use your Q onto them. If they hold on to their dash, use your E to Flay them towards you.
  • Thresh has insane roaming potential once he has Mobi Boots. Look to roam from base to the mid lane before heading back down bot.
  • Place vision around objectives to try and get picks before sieging or taking an objective. One good Q on a target can turn the game around.

Weak Against

  • Zyra: Zyra plants can be a nightmare to play against, you need to position yourself so you can play around those.
  • Morgana: Morgana is Thresh's biggest counter. Her E shield makes your hook and flay useless.
  • Annie: Annie doesn't mind getting herself hooked because her shield allows her to win the trades and if you put her close enough to your ADC to stun them it's bad.

Strong Against

  • Yuumi: Yuumi is one of the easiest matchups, all you have to time properly is the moment she deattaches from someone.
  • Ashe: Ashe has no way to stop your push towards her, her slows are not strong enough to make you retreat.
  • Sona: Sona's lack of mobility and ways of disengaging make her the best target for your hooks.

Game Strategy

  • Early Game: No matter the matchup, your job is to be as oppressive as you can. Walk up, try to deny minions and always threat a hook. Level 2 is literally all you need in the early game. If you see the enemies disrespecting you, flash in on them, get the Glacial Augment and hook them for a free kill.
  • Mid Game: Swap with your midlaner when the mid game starts and either babysit your ADC or roam with your jungler/mid. Dive whenever you get a chance. Even if you end up dying, your team getting the kill is the real win for us.
  • Late Game: Now things become more important, either hook repeteadly enemies or try to peel your ADC with your abilities. It's more important to ward deeper in the enemy jungler than in the pit per se, putting a pink ward on the pit should do the job while normal wards should go deeper.
