Introduction
In this comeback, Arena - The Grand Reckoning has undergone numerous changes, including 25 new Augments, new items, new maps… and most notably, the Fame system. With each level of Fame, players gain different benefits throughout their matches. Therefore, I’ve tested and compiled a list of powerful and easy-to-use champion duos to help you achieve high rankings in this version.

1. Master Yi – Yuumi
Master Yi - Yuumi is a carry-support duo that is incredibly easy to play, requiring minimal skill. Their power is formidable, thanks to a series of effective upgrades in Arena and their immense scaling potential in the late game.
Attack effect-based Augments significantly boost Yi’s damage output, such as Mystic Punch, Tap Dancer, and Scopier Weapons. Additionally, core items like Reaper's Toll, Blade of the Ruined King, Guinsoo's Rageblade, and Kraken Slayer further enhance his strength. Meanwhile, Yuumi simply makes Yi nearly immortal with massive shielding and healing, making her especially effective with Augments like Circle of Death, Sonic Boom, and Feel the Burn.

2. Cho’Gath – Swain
Swain has dominated Arena since the mode’s release, and this time is no different. His infinite scaling potential from Augments like Goliath, Infernal Conduit, and Slow Cooker grants him immense damage, an enormous health pool, and incredible sustain, making him extremely difficult to take down.
Many champions pair well with Swain, but Cho’Gath stands out as the best choice. He becomes a top-tier tank in Arena, continuously gaining stacks from his Ultimate. Augments like Courage of the Colossus, Perseverance, and Goliath significantly enhance his power. Additionally, Cho’Gath boasts massive true damage from his Ultimate to execute enemies, along with a suite of crowd control effects that make him a nightmare to deal with.

3. Sett - Ryze
Sett, much like his lore in the League of Legends universe, is an unrivaled dueling Bruiser in Arena. With Augments like Goliath, Perseverance, and Celestial Body, he can fully utilize his melee-heavy kit to take on any opponent. The Boss prioritizes health-heavy items such as Heartsteel, Overlord's Bloodmail, and Warmog's Armor to maximize his stats. Meanwhile, his Ultimate, The Show Stopper, serves as a powerful crowd control tool and can even throw enemies out of The Ring of Fire when needed.
Often overlooked, Ryze is actually an incredibly powerful mage in Arena. He can be built as an Adept, offering decent durability and consistent magic damage. More importantly, several Augments significantly enhance his power, including Magic Missile, Spellwake, and Eureka. By simply pairing Jeweled Gauntlet with Sett, Ryze can freely unleash massive sustained damage over time, allowing him to dominate many matchups.

4. Yasuo - Malphite
Malphite – Yasuo is a strong combo in every game mode and continues to have a place in Arena. Their ability to chain Ultimates is even easier here, as many angles leave opponents with no way to dodge. Notably, in longer fights, they can even execute this combo twice or gain an advantage when The Ring of Fire closes in. Compared to the Yasuo – Yone duo, this combo is considered superior due to its mix of both magic and physical damage.
Malphite prioritizes tank items first, along with Augments like Goliath, Center of the Universe, and Slow Cooker. Meanwhile, Yasuo is just as powerful in this mode, excelling with Infinity Edge and on-hit effect items. He benefits from a wide range of strong Augments, including Mystic Punch, Scopiest Weapons, and Firebrand.

5. Tryndamere – Mordekaiser
The Ultimates of this duo force opponents into a one-on-one duel, countering many other champion combos. Mordekaiser gains a significant advantage when activating Realm of Death, while Tryndamere fears no one with Undying Rage. Not only do they have a strong mix of physical and magic damage, but they also scale exceptionally well with the right items and Augments.
For Tryndamere, attack-effect Augments like Scopiest Weapons, The Brutalizer, and Lightning Strikes are ideal. Meanwhile, Mordekaiser can greatly enhance his power with Goliath, Laser, and Big Brain.

6. Vayne - Lulu
At first glance, Vayne and Lulu might not seem like an impressive duo, right? But don’t underestimate them—because in Arena, this pair can completely take over the game. With her mobility and ability to use terrain to her advantage, Vayne can pull off incredible outplays. All she needs is a moment, a nearby wall, and any opponent can quickly become her prey.
Augments like Scopiest Weapons, Tap Dancer, Twice Thrice, and Lightning significantly enhance Vayne’s power. She also thrives with strong on-hit items such as Blade of the Ruined King, Reaper's Toll, and Darksteel Talons. Meanwhile, Lulu provides exceptional protection, allowing Vayne to dish out consistent damage in Arena. Lulu benefits from powerful Augments like All For You, Spirit Link, and First-Aid Kit, alongside support items that enhance healing and shielding, such as Empyrean Promise, Moonstone Renewer, and Dawncore.

7. Sion - Dr. Mundo
The ultra-tank duo Sion – Dr. Mundo is a fascinating combination that makes opponents truly frustrated with their infinite health scaling and powerful Augments like Goliath, Perseverance, and Quest: Steel Your Heart. These two durable tanks can easily survive until the late game when The Ring of Fire closes in.
Despite building full tank, both Sion and Mundo can still deal significant damage. Core items such as Heartsteel, Overlord's Bloodmail, and Black Hole Gauntlet are essential for maximizing their potential. Sion’s powerful crowd control greatly supports Mundo, forcing enemies into a battle against time. In the late game, their massive health pools become an overwhelming advantage, paving the way for victory.
