Deck Guide: Meowscarada Control + Beedrill Finisher. My most-used and favorite deck to play. This deck is incredibly fun but requires focus and good decision-making every turn.

Basic Strategy:

• Thin your deck early using Sprigatito's Call for Help to set up your Meowscarada evolution line.
• Use Beedrill as your closer — This typically will be used as a last but super powerful last resort/finisher.
• Prioritize the fact that Meowscarda's evolution line is a non EX, single-Prize Pokémon early game. Avoid risking an EX on the board until it’s necessary.

You'll need to carefully manage:

**Evolution Timing: ** Evolve when the threat of KO is low, or when you’re ready to make a big move.

**- Energy Placement: ** Strategic energy investment is crucial, especially if you’re baiting with Sprigatito or prepping Meowscarada.

- Tool Usage: Your tools are clutch — timing is everything: **Communication: **Helps dig for missing evolutions. Use at the last moment to find the precise card. Holding on to that one more turn before using it often will be rewarded.

1x Cape: Used tactically to let your Pokémon survive major EX hits, like Giritina / Gyarados/ MewTwo's heavier hits.

Key Playstyle This is a decision-heavy deck built to hit EX Pokémon hard.

Keeping the Red Supporter is non-negotiable. It enables Meowscarada to deal 150 damage when attacking an EX — enough to one-shot most EXs in the current meta.

This includes popular threats like Giratina EX and Darkrai EX (even with Cape attached).

Use Sabrina for big bench disruption. It’s especially satisfying to pull a fully charged Darkrai EX off the bench and into the active, just in time for Meowscarada to one-shot it.

Grunt (flip heads) to remove energy from the opponent’s active Pokémon. This card is particularly effective against Giratina/Darkrai decks that rely on Psychic energy. A well-timed Grunt can slow their tempo and sometimes win the game outright.

Cape = Tactical HP buffer. Combine it with Erica's Sustain to make your Meowscarada tanky while still hitting hard. Also used to max out Beedril's HP so it can survive almost any attack in the game.

Erica = Sustain your front line throughout the Match. Most players only run 1x Erica, but I’ve found running x2 is invaluable. Keeping your Cats at max HP lets you survive huge attacks and set up consistent counterplay.
