Introduction

Aladdin is a versatile and agile Assassin in Smite 2, he's a high mobility and high burst damage god. His kit is all about quick engagements and outplaying enemies with his mobility and his burst damage. Aladdin is perfect for players who enjoy high-risk, high-reward gameplay .

This guide explains how to play mid lane as Aladdin, but you can take these exact same practices to play him solo. I personally feel he is in a stronger position when played mid however, due to his roam power.

Aladdin's God Lore

From a resourceful street urchin scraping by with his mother, to a Sultan guided by powerful Genies, Aladdin’s journey spans poverty, deception, magic, and unexpected fortune. Once an aimless youth known more for his misdeeds than his ambition, Aladdin found himself caught in the web of a cunning sorcerer. Disguised as a caring uncle, this sorcerer promised Aladdin wealth if he would retrieve a mysterious Lamp from a dangerous, trap-filled cave. Expecting the young man to meet his end, the sorcerer underestimated Aladdin’s resilience—and the power of a lesser Genie hidden within a simple ring he provided.

Through this Genie’s aid, Aladdin not only survived but secured the Lamp and the powerful Genie within it. That moment set him on a path from impoverished mischief-maker to a leader of his people, gaining wealth, influence, and ultimately earning his place as the Sultan.

In Smite 2, Aladdin has reached this pinnacle. Surrounded by loyal followers drawn to his optimism and charisma, he rules with the Lamp’s Genie at his side. Yet uncertainty looms. Whether it’s the sorcerer’s machinations or the watchful eyes of the gods, Aladdin will face these trials head-on. His past has prepared him to make the most of any opportunity, and the Genies ensure he won’t face the struggle alone.

Aladdin's Abilities

  1. Passive - Three Wishes

Three Wishes is Aladdin's passive, and its very unique. The first part of the passive is tied to the item found in his inventory at the start of the game, Genie's Lamp. Activating this item replaces your abilities with the three wishes, this then allows you to select any wish by pressing your ability buttons. You can only select each wish only once and of you decide to not use a wish after activating the Genie's Lamp, pressing the active button again will bring your abilities back.

  • The first wish, "Wish: Wealth" Will instantly provide you with 250gold, and for every kill or assist in the next 3 minutes will earn you an extra 100gold. This wish can be hard to take full advantage of. Personally I like to use this wish when there is a skirmish inside of my ultimate (Into The Lamp).
  • The second wish, "Wish: Immortality" Will instantly revive yourself and you'll gain 75% movement speed for 10s after leaving the fountain. This is a super strong wish and shouldn't be wasted. This is best used when dying early in a fight especially if it's on an objective. You'll be able to get back to the fight very fast and you'll then likely turn it into a winning fight.
  • The third wish, "Wish: Power" is Aladdin's strongest wish, it'll reset any ability and item cooldowns you currently have. It also provides you with 2 charges of Genie's Strength, which is the 2nd part of Aladdin's passive. This wish is best used in a fight you have litte chance of winning, with this wish you can easily 2v1 enemies, or 1v1 the most fed enemy player.

The second part of Aladdin's passive, Genie's Strength is a vital part of his kit. Every 15's Aladdin will gain a charge of Genie's Strength, up to 2 charge. After Aladdin uses an ability if he presses his ability again it will consume a single charge of Genie's Strength, this will add an aditional effect to the ability such as:

  • Consuming a charge of Genie's Strength on Kufic Invocation will send the symbols back to Aladdin, dealing Magical Damage.
  • Consuming a charge of Genie's Strength on Sultan's Grace will summon the Genie to unleash a flurry of 5 punches the deal Magical Damage to enemies in front of Aladdin
  • Consuming a change of Genie's Strength on Agile Run will call the Genie to slam down at the landing location. Enemies will take Magical Damage and are knocked straight up.
  1. Ability 1 - Kufic Invocation

Kufic Invocation is Aladdin's strongest ability. This ability fires 5 Kufic symbols that deal Magical Damage to enemies in a cone. You can charge this ability up to narrow the cone, when fully charged the symbols merge into a single Kufic symbol. When fully charged, the symbol travels further and hits a larger area.

This is a strong ability, and will separate bad Aladdin's from good ones. If you are in a close range battle and you know the enemy cant dodge this ability, shooting 5 Kufic symbols will do more damage than charging the ability up. If you're in a fight with an enemy who can easily dodge all 5, or is managing their distance very well you want to charge this ability up. Using the charged version of this ability is great for poking enemies and wave clearing.

During laning phase you want to try and hit the wave + enemy with this ability, this is usually easily done especially with the fully charged version. Doing this a few times can leave your opponent low, leaving them vulnerable to your all in.

  1. Ability 2 - Sultan's Grace

Sultan's Grace is an insanely strong ability especially when consuming a stack of Genie's Strength. This ability makes Aladdin dash forward dealing Magical Damage to enemies you pass through and deal an extra 1% increased damage to enemies for each % Health below 50%. This dash can additionally be cancelled by left clicking during the animation.

This ability will do an insane amount of damage but can also be used as a great gap closer.

  1. Ability 3 - Agile Run

Agile Run is Aladdin's most Talon-like ability. Aladdin dashes forward, dashing into a wall causes you to run along it before leaping to a location dealing Magical Damage to enemies in the landing area. Aladdin can not be hit by enemy abilities and auto attacks while wall riding.

You can utilize this ability to dodge enemy crowd control and abilities, run away, or to jump onto an enemy. This ability allows you to travel the map faster than any other champion and should be used to roam to other lanes and your own lane.

  1. Ability 4 - Into The Lamp

Into The Lamp is Aladdin's ultimate ability and is one of the best ganking tools in the game. Aladdin will throw a lamp forward, stopping on the first enemy god hit. If successful, Aladdin and the enemy god are pulled into the lamp to challenge each other. They have their health restored to a minimum amount, Aladdin's non-ultimate cooldowns are reset. The target's non-ultimate cooldowns are halved. The lamp is left behind, allowing any god to enter the lamp and join the ongoing challenge.

The is so powerful as a ganking and roaming tool because if you hit this ability you will force the enemy into either a 1v1 or a small skirmish for 16s. Aladdin is at an advantage in his lamp, especially when its upgraded because he can gain up to 50 protections and 70% cooldown reduction.

Pro Tip for Skills:

  • Skill 1: Charging it makes it deal max damage making it effective for poking from a distance , do it if youre poking behind walls and use the cone when youre very close to an enemy it is like a shotgun.
  • Skill 3: Use the wall-running mechanic to surprise enemies or escape through unexpected routes and never use it without a wall it be just a short run. Use Agile Run for escapes and consider the Wish: Immortality to spawn to get revived for critical moments.
  • Skill 4: Be mindful of the lamp's location, as it can turn a duel into a larger skirmish if other players choose to enter. Use his ult Into The Lamp to isolate and eliminate key enemies such as a squishy that you can kill easily or someone who used his beads but remain aware of potential interventions from other players while in the lamp.

Tips for Aladdin in Smite 2

In lane, you want to pressure your lane opponent with Kufic Invocation and push waves. After pushing waves you can take the jungle camps to the side of mid lane, and the one beside your tower. Doing this will provide you with a XP and gold lead if they aren't doing the same thing. You should be looking for roam opportunities all the time as Aladdin mid. Pushing waves and looking at your teammates lanes. there is a fight in the jungle you should ALWAYS be there before your lane opponent. Aladdin can jump walls and dash to every fight and his ultimate Into The Lamb can make unwinnable fights easily winnable.

Teamfighting can be hard for a new Aladdin, but if you take your time and follow your teammates engage or the enemies engage it will be very simple.

Aladdin Ability Combos

  • Skill 2 + Skill 1.
  • Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Skill 1.
  1. Main Combo
  • Kufic Invocation - Sultan's Grace - Kufic Invocation - Sultan's Grace

This is basically his bread and butter. You can Kufic Invocation from range Sultan's Grace into the opponent Kufic Invocation again and Sultan's Grace again. This will do a lot of damage if you hit everything, once you get Polynomicon you can then weave in autos for extra damage. You can add your Agile Run anywhere into this combo really, you can use it at the end to keep chasing/run away or you can use it in the beginning to engage onto them.

  1. Gank Engage
  • Agile Run - Agile Run - Kufic Invocation - Sultan's Grace - Kufic Invocation

If you're ganking an enemy and you know your teammate can follow up its good to knock up the enemy. You should be using your Sultan's Grace while your Kufic Invocation is traveling, this will improve your burst a lot.

How To Play Aladdin in Smite 2?

  1. How To Play Aladdin

Laning as Aladdin is very simple. You want to pressure your lane opponent with Kufic Invocation and push waves.

If the enemy is over-pushed and your teammate is healthy enough to fight, ping your teammate and use vgs (vsg1, vsg3) to communicate the gank. Using your Agile Run and Sultan's Grace roam and gank the enemy.

If there is a fight in the jungle you should always be there before your lane opponent. Aladdin can jump walls and dash to every fight and his ultimate Into The Lamp can make unwinnable fights easily winnable.

  1. Teamfight

Teamfighting can be hard for a new Aladdin, but if you take your time and follow your teammates engage or the enemies engage it will be very simple.

If the enemy has a hard engaging tank or bruiser such as, Bacchus or Bellona you can ultimate them when they jump onto you team/backline. This will force them out of the fight and your teammates can then jump in to possibly 1v5 them before the enemies can enter. Even if your teammates/enemies decide to not join the fight inside your ultimate, they would've lost hopefully a big champion while you 1v1 with your protection and cooldown reduction buff.

Take advantage of your Agile Run in teamfights to dodge enemy abilities and jump onto the backline. You can find unique ultimate angles using this ability.

  1. Summary

Aladdin is a highly mobile and versatile mid-laner with strong burst potential and excellent tools for roaming and teamfighting. His kit revolves around Three Wishes, a unique passive that offers powerful situational advantages, and abilities that combine wave clear, mobility, and crowd control.

Pros of Aladdin include high burst damage, strong harassment, exceptional mobility for chasing or escaping, and the ability to dominate both quick trades and extended fights with proper use of his kit. However, he’s squishy, reliant on abilities, and vulnerable to crowd control when his cooldowns are unavailable.

In the laning phase, focus on pressuring your opponent, pushing waves with Kufic Invocation, and taking jungle camps to gain a gold and XP lead. Roam often with Agile Run and Sultan's Grace to secure kills and assists. During teamfights, use Into The Lamp to isolate key enemies or turn unwinnable fights in your favor.

Mastering Aladdin requires timing, positioning, and decision-making, but with practice, he’s an incredibly rewarding god to play.
