Introduction
Guide to playing Awilix in Smite 2, providing you with the best builds. Awilix is an Assassin and choosing the right relics and items for Awilix will maximize her power in battle.
Awilix's Abilities
- Passive - Initiative
Awilix gains a large power bonus for a short duration if she strikes first in combat.
- Initiative is what gives her strong burst, and works very well with Hydra's Lament.
- Ability 1 - Summon Suku
Awilix summons her panther Suku, giving her movement speed bonuses. She can cancel it to reset it's cooldown, or jump to a target location, dealing damage on impact.
- Summon Suku is used outside of combat to travel across long distances, and should be used to increase your rotational pressure. Watch out for the mana costs in the early game!
- Ability 2 - Feather Step
Awilix flips over the last enemy she hit which damages, roots, and cripples them. If the next attack is her third basic attack, she hits all targets in the surrounding area
- Feather Step is your main damage ability, used to clear camps and hit gods on cooldown. It does increased damage based on your current auto attack chain, so take advantage of it.
- You are temporarily unhittable while midair, which makes it strong at avoiding certain abilities.
- Ability 3 - Moonlight Charge
Awilix launches Suku forward, dealing damage to all enemies hit. If enemies are hit from the side/behind, they are knocked up into the air
- Moonlight Charge makes it dangerous to face away from Awilix, as you never know when the knockup is coming. It makes for great setup for her ultimate, Gravity Surge.
- Ultimate - Gravity Surge
Awilix gains attack speed and physical power, with immunities against roots, slows, and knockbacks. If Awilix is facing an enemy currently leaping or is knocked up, she pulls them towards herself, damaging them.
- Gravity Surge is Awilix's signature move, which threatens anyone against knock-ups. She can knock up enemies herself with Moonlight Charge, or can pull off of a teammate's CC. If enemies have a jump, she can use it against them to pull them directly in front of her.
Awilix's Tips
Use Summon Suku to chase enemies, or to run away. There is a delay between the time of summoning and being capable of jumping, so recognize it is not a good idea to Summon Suku for extra damage in the 1v1, only to escape.
Feather Step deals damage on your most recently hit enemy based on your auto attack chain - your auto attacks do not actually have to hit the enemies. You can hit an enemy with Moonlight Charge, auto attack the air twice, and you can Feather Step for full damage on the enemy you hit
Moonlight Charge is difficult to pull off when the enemies know you are coming, but you can effectively stun lock and CC chain the enemy with Gravity Surge, and most enemies will die before they get a chance to fight back. Very powerful if they lack Purification Beads

How to play in Smite 2
Awilix can go Jungle.
Awilix is a great jungler with fast movement speed and aggressive early game play. Awilix uses his skills to dodge and attack enemies.
- Ability Rotations
Melee Damage:
- Moonlight Charge > Auto Attack > Auto Attack > Feather Step > Auto Attack
Blink Initiation:
- Blink Rune > Moonlight Charge > Auto Attack > Auto Attack > Gravity Surge > Auto Attack > Auto Attack > Feather Step
- Early Game:
Star at the Fire Giant side Speed Buff (or Red Buff), and group up the jungle camps with your mid laner. Once the Red and Speed buff jungle camps are cleared together, head towards your remaining speed buff. Your mid laner should help you clear this buff camp. Finally, head towards the exp camp near the Tier 1 Mid tower, presume you will clear this alone.
You now have 2 choices. You can stay in the Jungle towards the mid lane, looking for a gank on the enemy mid laner or clear the Mid-Harpies. The second option is to head straight to duo lane, and look for a gank on the enemy duo lane (and clear Scorpion). Heading to Duo lane has a greater risk, but much greater reward if successful.
Awilix has a powerful early fight, as she can lock down enemies with her CC and deal massive damage. Look to use your Blink Rune to knock up an enemy with Moonlight Charge from behind, if you pull it off it's almost a sure-kill if they have no dash ability.
Awilix has powerful early game rotations, as she is incredibly mobile with Summon Suku and capable of rotating quite fast.
Use Feather Step on cooldown while fighting enemies, as it deals a massive amount of damage on a very low cooldown.
The value of your ultimate Gravity Surge is impacted by which enemies have built in leaps, but also by which teammates have a knock-up ability. Pay attention to who is capable of what, as you may be able to pull someone for free without needing to knock them up with Moonlight Charge
- Mid Game:
Begins around ~14 minutes, or when most people have hit Level 12 and unlocked their Second Relic. Most enemy teams have gotten around to warding by now, and team fights become increasingly common. Most builds have started to show effectiveness.
Play back in the team fights, and look to blink on the enemy backline with your solo laner. If someone on your team has a knock up or an enemy has a leap, you can hang in the middle of your team formation and turtle. You can cripple the enemies close to your team, and yank them back when they try to escape.
After using Moonlight Charge, even if the enemies are not knocked up, you may want to still use Gravity Surge. While you are briefly vulnerable while casting, it gives you a big buff to your incoming damage. You could even use it before Blink Rune if you know for sure they will react to the Moonlight Charge knockup. This is more of a niche bonus, but is still important to know.
- Late Game:
Almost everybody has hit Level 20, Fire Giant is the most important objective on the map. Starter items become unlocked at Level 20, which results in a damage/defensive spike. This means that everybody dies faster, and Team Fights are the most important thing.
You can do two things at this phase of the game: look for the jungle 1v1 in the mid lane or try and pull an enemy front liner in the team fight. Diving the enemy backline is difficult as you struggle to escape, and Gravity Surge will almost always be blocked by relics. For this reason, hit the people less likely to have/use relics, such as the enemy support/solo laner, as getting pulled is devastating for them.
When it comes to a Siege fight, it is exactly the same as the Fire Giant fight. You can look to ult the enemy frontline, or go for the jungle 1v1 in the mid lane. Awilix's 1v1 is best when she initiates, but it's not as easy when the enemy knows you are about to blink in. Hence, you may find it easier to stall the enemy jungler out, instead of committing.
Warding
Early/Rotational wards, you don't go out of your way to place these wards. Place them while already in the area, they are used to prevent blind spots while you rotate. They also double as objective wards
Late game wards, you want to place them as high as possible without getting caught by the enemy doing so. They cut off chokepoints on the enemies side, which lets you know which side of the map they are on. Good wards for a Fire Giant fight
