Chaac's God Lore
Rain is life. Showers from above soak the earth, feeding seeds which grow into precious fruits and grains. Man and beast alike are sustained by this cycle. Without rain, this world would be barren and all living things would turn to dust. Thus is the power of Chaac, God of Rain. But, like all great power, it did not come without cost. In mankind’s earliest days there were no farmers, so they starved beneath the sun. For days, Chaac sought a way to feed them. Deep in the mountains he discovered a golden boulder and cleft it with his mighty axe. Within was Maize, the crop that would change the Maya people forever, and Chaac was worshipped and adored for it. Drunk with pride, Chaac sought the object of his deepest desire, the wife of his brother. For a time, their affair remained secret, but that was not to last.
Chaac’s brother, the Sun God, discovered them. Without a word, she dutifully returned to her husband and Chaac, realizing what he had done, let her go, but a rift formed between the two brothers that would never heal. In his grief, Chaac drove his axe into the sky, and from the wound tears of regret fell. Since then, Chaac has chosen a life free of pride and selfishness, devoting himself only to mankind. As a reminder of his greatest failing, he continues to cleave the heavens, washing the land in sustaining waters. Thus do crops grow. Thus do the people survive. Thus is the power of Chaac, God of Rain.
Chaac's Abilities
- Passive - Overflow
After you hit 5 basics, your next ability will cost no mana, have 2 seconds less cooldown, and will heal you.
This passive is very useful in lane to be able to push and poke faster.
- Ability 1 - Thunder Strike
You throw an axe forward that does area damage, when it hits the ground you have a few seconds to combo it with your skills.
If you use your second skill Torrent you will teleport towards the axe dealing damage.
If you use your third skill Rain Dance you will create a large area of slow movement on the axe.
But if you use your first skill Thunder Strike again you make the axe disappear so you can use the other skills without these combos.
- Ability 2 - Torrent
Deals physical damage around you in a circle, and you gain protections if you hit enemies (gods or minions).
Remember to deactivate your axe if you don't want to teleport.
This ability and Thunder Strike are great for pushing minions and dizzying your enemies with teleports.
- Ability 3 - Rain Dance
Rain Dance creates a rain around you that heals you over 6 seconds and enemies in the rain are slowed and have reduced attack speed.
Also if you combine the rain on you with that of Thunder Strike, enemies are slowed and debuffed twice.
- Ultimate - Storm Call
Charge up your axe, then unleash a blast dealing damage, knocking up and silence in an area around you.
While you are charging up you gain CCs immunity and gain damage mitigations.
Storm Call is very good for engages with the Blink Rune.

Combo Chaac
- Skill 4 + Skill 2.
- Skill 4 + Skill 3.
- Skill 1 + Skill 2 + Skill 4 + Skill 3.
Thunder Strike > Torrent teleport to the axe > Rain Dance to slow > Basic Attacks > Repeat the sequence with Storm Call
From the distance Storm Call > Before damage ultimate Blink Rune to get closer > Thunder Strike > Torrent teleport to the axe > Rain Dance to slow
How to play Chaac
- Early Game
Start at the Fire Giant side in the lane. You have to push as fast as possible so try to get as close as possible to the enemy tower to use Thunder Strike and push back, so you can use Thunder Strike 2 times faster.
If you have managed to push very quickly you can go to the blue buff, but if you have not managed to push quickly, stay one more wave to be able to level up to get Torrent and do the blue buff later more easy.
The following moves are push the lane and try to win the Totem (Totem gives gold for all the team and mana regeneration). Starting at level 3, you push very quickly with Thunder Strike and Torrent and you will be able to get the Totem (Totem gives gold for the entire team and mana regeneration) and be able to invade the harpies on the sides or quickly make your own to continue creating pressure.
On the side camps you can kill the gold camp which doesn't give you experience but a lot of gold, and the two harpy camps give gold and experience.
Remember to buy wards to avoid the ganks and try to comunicate to the jungle to invade blue buffs or try to kill the solo laner.
From this point it is repeating the same thing push minions > blue buff > Totem > harpy camps.
- Mid Game:
At this point of the game, which is roughly between 10:00 and 20:00 minutes, you have to push the lanes as quickly as possible and try to rotate because you are very strong, you have a lot of defense, damage, heals with Rain Dance, and you have to use this advantage, either by using the teleports of the sides of the lane for the duo lane or rotating to the mid lane.
If you do rotations in mid lane, Chaac has a lot of potential to create pressure because you can try to do the combo with Blink Rune > Storm Call or you can do teamfights playing with heals and pokes to try to win the Gold Fury or Pyromancer.
If you use the teleporter from the solo to the duo lane, you have to do the same play but trying to kill the carry or the support and gain the pressure to be able to do the Gold Fury.
- Late Game:
At this point in the game your job is to be the frontline with the support as teamfights start around the fire giant at around minute 25:00.
You have to harass, poke and kill the enemy carry, mid and jungler as they are the most dangerous for your team.
To deal with this type of situation you have to take advantage of the Rain Dance healing yourself, poking with your abilities Thunder Strike and look for a good opportunity to engage with Storm Call. Above all you have to do damage with Thunder Strike and dizzy by teleporting with Torrent
The moment you have the fire giant buff, the sieges on the Phoenix begin. Here you have to continue taking advantage of your potential to heals your allies and destroy the Phoenix with the help of your carry and mid slowly. You can also go with your jungle to another Phoenix to create pressure since you have a lot of defense to tank and your jungle can do good damage to the Phoenix easily, adding to the fact that you have a very good fight.
If the enemy has the fire giant and it is your turn to defend the Phoenix, you have to be in a group with your team and defend under the Phoenix, being careful with the picks.
Constantly call for all information, when you engage try to be followed by your team, always be sure of your decision making.
Remember to wards all the zone on fire giant and when you are sieging you need wards too.
How to ward as Solo
Notes:
- White circles: Vision Ward
- Green circles: Sentry Ward
- Early/Mid Game
Here you can see the best spots to ward as a Sololaner.
These wards will help you to know where the enemy sololaner is moving, as well as if the jungler is trying to gank you.

- High Pressure Game
These wards are when you have a lot of pressure in lane and you want to invade blue buffs and red buffs. Remember to call your team that you want to invade so they can help you.

- Late Game
These wards are for fire giant teamfights. Remember that you can only have 2 wards active at the same time, so you will need help from your team to ward the entire area from the fire giant.

- Siege/Defense Phoenix
These wards are very important when it comes to sieges and defending phoenixes. In this case, the wards are the same whether you defend or attack. This wards are important because mages often cast abilities through walls, you will be able to react better to their abilities.
