Smite 2 How To: Jungle

Hi, welcome to my series of Smite 2 How To. This article is going to be talking about the thought process of jungle. What items and stats to look for, how to position and why, and what your general objective is in the role. Let's get into it.

The goal of jungle is to provide pressure and extra damage on the dive. You want to look for high value picks and follow up on your solo or supports CC and/or initiation. Often times you want to play on flanks to quickly pop a damage dealer and disappear again.

The more items you have, the better time your gonna have so farming is really important in jungle. You need to know the route you want to take and be on time to all of your timers. It also helps to know or have a good guess of where their jungler is as well so you know what camps are up for them. Nothing feels worse than getting a good gank spoiled by the enemy jungler showing up and turning the fight

You are mostly farming to level 5 in the early game. Junglers tend to have very powerful ultimate abilities so getting that online as fast as possible will give you good gank advantages. You can fight early, but there is a lot of farm in the jungle right now so you really cant take very much time for a full rotation. A quick couple abilities onto a enemy laner to establish some pressure should suffice. After level five, continue to farm, but with your full kit online you can looks for rotations and ganks on out of position enemies.

You want to be putting pressure on lanes and the enemy jungle. Keep an eye on the map, get vision up in their jungle and watch for opportunities to collapse on an out of position enemy. Getting ults or relics or a kill helps set up your team to do objectives so looking to pull resources often is a good use of your role. Try not to die too much pulling resources or youll fall behind come late game. Additionally try to coordinate with your damage and CC from your team to win a man advantage situation.

You will kill fast and die fast typically. In the late game you are looking for flank positions and often waiting for someone else on your team to start a fight, then picking your moment to go in. Think like an assassin, you want to find a target that you can kill that is just a little too far away from their team and blow them up quick then leave. You can also look for 1v1s but you need to be confident you can win these or else youve given the enemy team a power play.
