Intro
Hey all, welcome to my guide for athena jungle. If played correctly she can be super oppressive, and win your team fights with a single button. Lets get into it!

Athena has a unique passive that gives her a really interesting gameplay loop. You want to be auto canceling after every ability to max out your damage and your passive synnergizes really well with that. You do not have to worry so much about getting the full damage off of your 3 because your poly autos will destroy.
Ability Leveling Order
4>3>1>2 or 4>3>2>1
Focus your ult almost always. If you are finding you dont have good uses for your ult, you could think about not focusing it over your core abilities, but it does a lot of damage and provides a huge shield, so it is typically the best way to go.
You have two options for leveling abilities in the mid game. If you want to do more damage off your combo and/or are frequently hitting your dash while getting into a fight, instead of just using it to get in range for your taunt, then max the 1 second. It will also help you survive the fight if youre dashing in since it provides prots. If you are typically engaging with someone else, leveling the 2 is better because it increases the duration of the taunt which is the most powerful part of athenas kit.
Basic Attack - Melee
Deal Magical Damage to an enemy in front of you.
- Range: 1.92 meters
- Cone Angle: 120 degrees
- Damage: 43 + 2.33 per level
- Damage Scaling: 100% Strength + 20% Intelligence
Notes
- Has a 3 hit chain. Attacks in order of 1, 1, 2x damage and swing time. Bullet The final hit of the chain hits all targets in the area for 2x damage.
Passive - Reach
After each ability activation, your next basic attack becomes a projectile that deals Magical Damage.
Notes:
- Deals 125% Strength + 70% Intelligence damage to the first target hit, passes through and damages all enemies, and passes through walls.
- This basic attack can Critically Strike.
- This basic attack can trigger Item Effects.
Ability 1 - Triplicate Form
Dash forward to deal Magical Damage and Slow enemies adter a brief buildup. Gain Physical Protection and Magical Protection when you hit an enemy god.
Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 mana Cooldown: 14 seconds Damage: 50/90/130/170/210 Damage Scaling: 60% Strength Slow: 20/22.5/25/27.5/30% Slow Duration: 2 seconds Physical Protection: 15/20/25/30/35 + 10% Physical Protections Magical Protection: 15/20/25/30/35 + 10% Magical Protections

- Buildup takes 0.66 seconds.
Ability 2 - Confound
Deal Magical Damage and Taunt enemies in front of you.
- Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana
- Cooldown: 18 seconds
- Radius: 5.6 meters
- Cone Angle: 90 degrees
- Damage: 40/65/90/115/140
- Damage Scaling: 20% Intelligence
- Taunt Duration: 0.75/0.9/1.05/1.2/1.35 seconds + 0.2s per 150 Protections from Items, stacking up to 2 times
Notes:
- Taunted enemies are Slowed by 25%.
Ability 3 - Shield Wall
Create a Phalanx of Soldiers that deals Magical Damage to enemies. After a delay they deal Magical Damage to enemies before disappearing.
- Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana
- Cooldown: 14 seconds
- Radius: 3.2 meters
- Initial Damage: 60/100/140/180/220
- Initial Damage Scaling: 45% Intelligence
- Final Damage: 80/140/200/260/320
- Final Damage Scaling: 55% Intelligence
- Movement Speed: 5/7.5/10/12.5/15%
- Buff Duration: 6 seconds
Notes:
- The delay between the first and second attack is 2 seconds.
Ultimate Ability - Defender of Olympus
Channel and Shield an ally. When the channel completes, Teleport to their location. Deal Magical Damage to enemis upon landing.
- Cost: 80/90/110/110/120 mana
- Cooldown: 120 seconds
- Damage: 340/415/490/565/640
- Damage Scaling: 90% Intellingence
- Shield Health: 50/100/150/200/250
- Shield Health Scaling: 12.5% Max Health
Notes:
- Channel lasts for 3.34 seconds.
- If your ally dies before your channel completes, you will still go to their location.
Gameplay
In the early game, athena is slower to get stuff done. Her cooldowns are a lot longer than most junglers and as such you have to be very careful and coordinated in your buttons and damage. She is a bit item dependant. About the time you get chronos pendant online you can more reliably fight, and by the time you have poly online, with book stacked, youll be a nightmare for squishies.
Keep an eye on what abilities get used around you. You dont want to gank a target with all their buttons up because they may turn on you, and likewise in the early you will need some supporting damage from an ally. Make sure this is possible or you might wind up on the wrong side of a gank yourself.
In the mid game harassing with a 2>3 combo with autos in between will do ~40% of a squishies HP which is just insane poke, especially with the range on your 1 allowing you to engage that poke from really far out.
late game, your damage is a lot but it takes longer to combo than most junglers so pick your fights carefully if youre going to go for a pick, otherwise play with your team and continue to harass and poke and looks for targets out of position to taunt and blow up with your team.
Conclusion
Athena is crazy strong suddenly, and people are still figuring this out, so you will likely be able to take people off guard with your damage. Get out there, taunt your foes back in and spear them through the heart.
