Hercules, Champion of Rome
Intro
Hey y'all, welcome to my guide for hercules support. Herc is a classic character for smite, and his introduction into smite 2 has made me very happy. As a dirty displacement support main, I love pulling the enemy back in and crushing their spirits.

Items, Items, Items
As a support, talisman is so strong. Cooldown and beads for your team is great plus good prots and good hp. Glad shield and phoenix shield will help you continue to stay healthy along with your 3, and continue to put out some damage. Otherwise, as always, more cooldown = more displacement, and if you're good, the blink tech still works ;)
Ability Leveling Order
4>1>3>2
Your 1 does good damage and scales up stun duration as you level it. Currently, the tool tip for the ability is wrong so it will not tell you stun duration, but it definitely scales up. Your 3 is your next best ability in support as it gives you a lot of healing and tankiness. Your 2 always comes last as it just give damage on leveling it.
Basic Attack - Melee
Hercules deals Physical Damage to an enemy in front of him.
Stats:
- Damage Scaling: 100% Strength + 20% Intellgience
- Range: 1.92 meters
- Cone Angle: 120 degrees
Notes:
- He has a 3 hit chain in order of 1 / 1 / 1.5 times damage and swing time.
Passive - Apotheosis
Hercules gains Strength when enemy gods damage him. This stacks up to 3 times and lasts 5s. Additionally, hit a target wieth an ability to gain a stack toward achieving Apotheosis, or 2 stacks from his Ultimate.
Stats:
- Strength: 4 Per Stack
- Strength: 1 Per Level
- Apotheosis Buff Duration: 10 seconds
- Aptheosis Buff Duration Per Level: 1 second
- Apotheosis Protections: 2 Per Level
- Apotheosis CDR: 25
Notes:
- At 4 stacks, enter an empowered state that immediatly subtracts 2s from active cooldowns and provides an additonal Strength, Protections, and Cleaving basic attacks for the duration.
- Each activation of an ability can only grant 1 stack.
- Strength from Apotheosis is equal to 1 stack of strength from taking damge from Gods.
Ability 1 - Driving Strike
Hercules dashes forward dealing Physical Damage, Stunning and Pushing enemies hit.
Stats:
- Damage per Rank: 60 / 120 / 180 / 240 / 300
- Damage Scaling: 95% Strength
- Range: 5.6 meters
- Radius: 0.8
- Cooldown: 12 seconds
- Mana Cost Per Rank: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70
Notes:
- It is currently unlisted, but the stun scales in duration as you level the ability
Ability 2 - Earthbreaker
Hercules creates a rift that deals Physical Damge to enemies in front of you. Enemies hit by the end area are Pulled to him
Stats:
- Damage Per Rank: 50 / 95 / 140 / 185 / 230
- Damage Scaling: 75% Strength
- Range: 7.2 meters
- Radius: 1.12 meters
- Cooldown: 12 seconds
- Mana Cost Per Rank: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70
Notes:
- This is a rolling projectile ability, until the end portion. The knockup section is all simultaneous
Ability 3 - Mitigate Wounds
Hercules immediately Heals himself and gains Attack Speed and Protections for 4s. At the end of the duration Heal yourself again for a percentage of the damage taken during the effect.
Stats:
- Heal: 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 / 165
- Heal Per Rank: 20 / 26 / 32 / 38 / 44% of Recent Damage Taken
- Attack Speed Per Rank: 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 17.5 / 20%
- Protections Per Rank: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40
- Cooldown: 15 seconds
- Mana Cost: 50
Ultimate Ability - Excavate
Hecules hurls a boulder at a location, Displacing enemeis straight up at the landing spot. The boulder then rolls and bounces off walls, dealing Physical Damage to enemies hit.
Stats:
- Damage: 190 / 290 / 390 / 490 / 590
- Damage: 105% Strength
- Range: 100 meters
- Radius: 2.4 meters
- Cooldown Per Rank: 90 / 85 / 80 / 75 / 70 seconds
- Mana Cost: 100
Notes:
- This ability will knockup all gods in the initial landing area of the boulder
Gameplay
Hercules support is a really big bully, he wants to harass and be in his enemies face, and then when they think they can escape he pulls them back in. In general always be looking for plucks with your 2 or 1 to bring the enemy to your team (unless your team is low in which case do not bring damage into your backline). Otherwise as a peeling god, both the 2 and 1 are great at getting your teammates a safe distance away. His passive takes 2 seconds off of all his current cooldowns, which means you are incentivized to combo an enemy with your 2>1>4 to lock them down for a while and get that cooldown reduction so you can go for it again quickly.
Conclusion
Herc slams, he is probably the best god in the game right now. Get to work.
