Hey guys, I'm back with another article! In this article, I’ll break down my research on early game strategies for TFT patch 14.23c, which is critical for staying strong and preserving HP in the early and mid-game stages. In the beginning of a new patch, many players are still figuring out optimal late-game boards, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Focusing on the early and mid-game is the best way to climb the ranks. If you can maintain a strong HP streak in stages two and three, transitioning to the late game becomes less crucial, making it easier to secure top-four placements.

I’ll dive into the data from Metatft on stage two and three—highlighting the strongest units, best items, and optimal transitions for later stages.

Adopting a beginner's mindset is crucial for improvement in TFT, and in life. The best players continually learn and adapt, especially in a constantly evolving game with frequent patches. Viewing oneself as an expert can hinder growth, while maintaining a learning mindset opens doors to further mastery.
Early Build summary: Darius - Draven - Powder - Violet - Vander.
This is the strongest early-game composition, and it’s likely to remain the best early-game option for the rest of the season. If you're lucky enough to get all the champions in this composition to 2 stars, you’ll likely enjoy a long win streak.
This composition activates four different traits, including 3 Family, 2 Conqueror, 2 Pit Fighter, and 2 Watcher. This composition reducing max Mana, gaining extra bonuses as DR, boosts both AD (Attack Damage) /AP (Ability Power), true damage, health and most importantly additional rewards.
This composition activates a variety of unique and versatile effects thanks to the skillsets of its champions.
- Vander both deals damage and defends, providing tankiness and durability, gaining Armor and Magic Resist. Empower the next attack to deal physical damage, increased by physical damage for each 1 or 2 cost champion on your team.
- Powder deals area-of-effect magic damage and reduces healing.
- Violet is an AD (Attack Damage) melee champion, dealing physical damage and knock-up.
- Darius dealing physical damage in an area-of-effect (AOE) style, healing HP and Apply a physical damage bleed to target over 4 seconds.
- Draven enhances his attacks, dealing critical damage.
Thus, except for the 1-cost reroll compositions and built different, this is a solid early-game composition for most setups.
