Introduction
Hello everyone, Riot Games has introduced the Augment 'Wandering Trainer II' in TFT. It's a Dummy with 3 different Emblems. Have you ever built a playstyle around the Dummy?
To understand the mechanics of the Dummy carrying 3 different Emblems, we need to solve the following problem. TFT Set 13 features 12 different Origins and 12 different Classes, each with its own unique Emblem. The Dummy is created using three different Emblems selected from the 12 Origins and 12 Classes. How many unique Dummies can be created?
To solve the problem, we need to calculate the number of ways to select 3 different Emblems from a total of 24 Emblems (12 Origins and 12 Classes).
Total Emblems: There are 12 + 12 = 24 Emblems.
Number of ways to select 3 Emblems: The number of ways to select 3 Emblems from 24 is given by the combination formula:
C (24,3) = (24×23×22) : (3 × 2 × 1)
I will calculate this specifically.
The total number of unique Dummies that can be created by combining 3 different Emblems from 24 is 2024.
However, I believe that Riot Games has only created around 20-40 Dummies. I've played with the Dummy a few times and watched many TFT players worldwide flex their comps around it impressively, often achieving top placements. I usually reach level 9 or even level 10 when playing with the Dummy. You cannot choose the "Wandering Trainer II" Augment at round 4-1, as it’s simply too late by then. Additionally, You might feel a bit overwhelmed when playing with the Dummy.
