Hidden OP Comp: EDM LUX - Challenger Guide

Hello! I'm Frobei and I've been Challenger multiple sets (Set 9 and 9.5 included)!

I had the opportunity to play many games on Set 10 before it goes live as I'm training to compete at the highest level for the TFT Vegas Open in December!

This comp heavily relies on Lux reroll but also on great side carries like Zed and Zac (yes, Zac is also a side carry).

In case you didn't know, EDM allows ll EDM champions to copy the skills of the sampled champion (here Lux). Meaning that every couple seconds, Zac, Lux, Jax and Zed will cast Lux's ultimate and deal massive AOE damage.

Remember also to position Lux properly every round so she has a good angle to take over the fights quite fast.

Even though having Headliner Lux is recommended so she can profit from the headliner effect that allows her to crit naturally with her spell (so you don't need to build a Jeweled Gauntlet for her).

However Zed EDM, Zac EDM or Bruiser are also excellent to pick because they give you a huge powerspike by having them on your board instantly at 2 stars

For the early game you will need to be extremely flexible and play around the first Headliners you find. This is not a comp you can force at stage 2 simply because you had an early EDM JAx or a Lux in a box. In fact, Lux is a horrible champion to play before stage 3 / stage 4.

So focus on build items that make sense in your early board and be opened to play Lux if you get a Lux Headliner at stage 3 or early stage 4.

It might seem weird but even if it's a 3 cost reroll comp, it will be essential to reroll at lvl 8 because you will need to find Zac 2 and Zed 2 to stabilize your board HARD. These two units will carry you until you find Lux 3.

However if you play from behind and you are low health and low econ, you'll have no choice but to roll at lvl 7 to hit Lux 3 and try to save your game
