GENERAL INFORMATION

Hello, my name is Tomasz and in sets 4 and 4.5 I had the peak of my capabilities, i.e. 780lp in Challenger, and I have been playing this mode for a week to provide you with as much knowledge and compositions as possible, which you will soon find on my document link below in the "SET 4.5" tab!

Celebrate the Lunar Festival with us as we bring back a beloved set from the past!

For the 2025 Lunar Festival, we’re bringing back the mid-set for one of TFT’s most beloved sets, Fates: Festival of Beasts. Whether you’re a veteran player who needs a refresher since it’s been five (!!!) years since the original Fates release, or you’re completely new to it and want to learn some tips and tricks before diving in, we’ve got you covered.

Trait Updates

First on the list are the new chase traits. Achieving prismatic verticals is one of the most satisfying feelings in TFT, and we want to bring that to some of your Fates faves. At the Prismatic level for Cultist, you’ll be able to summon Galio, the Endbringer. It’ll be difficult to get there, requiring level 10 and three emblems, or two emblems and a Cultist chosen. But the faithful will be rewarded.

New Encounters

One which means that our CHOSEN does not activate one of the features but two, i.e. Tahm Kench can have Bruiser and Fortune activated at the same time

The second one gives us at level 6, e.g. % of chosen ones from 7

HOW TO PLAY EARLY GAME

🌟 The Chosen Mechanic – A Game-Changer! 🌟

🏆 Early Game Power & Win Streaks

🔹 The Chosen mechanic influences your game from the start, allowing you to pick up a Chosen unit early to build a win streak.
🔹 If you find a strong Chosen unit that fits into an S-tier composition early on—congratulations! 🎉

  • You can secure a win streak 💰
  • You’ll likely transition smoothly into your late-game composition 🚀

🔄 Mid & Late-Game Adaptation

🔸 Didn’t find an exceptional Chosen early? No worries! You can still pick one later to maintain strength.
🔸 Selling your Chosen unit allows you to find another in the shop, but be aware:

  • You will lose 1 gold per Chosen sale.
  • 💰 However, a good win streak should have already made up for it.

💡 Comeback Strategy:
If you’re unlucky early on, you can use a Chosen unit to stage a comeback:
✅ Aim for a 3 or 4-cost Chosen to strengthen your board.
✅ Try not to lose too much HP ❤️.
✅ Create flexible items 🛠️ to transition easily.
✅ Rolling down at level 7 or 8 will give you a solid chance of finding a strong Chosen unit.

⚠️ Risk vs. Reward

Warning: This strategy is risky and requires a solid understanding of the game.
🔹 Be prepared to transition into different compositions depending on your Chosen unit.
🔹 Ideally, you’ll find a perfect Chosen unit that fits your composition, but relying on luck can be inconsistent.

📊 Choosing the Right Chosen Unit

💎 Unique Stats & Traits Matter!
🎯 The Chosen trait is what truly matters. Some Chosen units will boost your team’s strength immensely:
Chosen Elderwood 🌿 → Provides incredible durability.
Chosen Mage 🔮 → Amplifies your magic power.
Chosen Carry 🏹 → Can be powerful if it aligns with your team.

💡 Instead of rolling for the perfect Chosen unit every game (which is inconsistent), focus on:
✔️ Identifying the best Chosen traits for your preferred composition.
✔️ Adapting based on what’s available to you.

HOW TO PLAY 3-COST CARRY

🎲 Rolling for "Chosen" – A Key Change Over the Years! 🎲

🛠️ The New Rolling Strategy

One of the biggest changes in this mode after all these years is how we roll for Chosen—we now roll at 8 instead of 7 due to the following reasons:

🔹 Rolling for Chosen at level 7 is no longer optimal because:

  • 40% chance of 2-cost units 🎭
  • Lower odds of 3-cost units compared to level 8 📉

🔹 Instead, rolling at level 8 allows us to:

  • Maximize our chances of finding 3-cost Chosen 🏹
  • Have a backup plan with 4-cost Chosen if things don’t go well 🛡️

🔄 Example – The Keeper Composition 🛡️✨

In a Keeper comp built around Xayah and Kennen 3-star, we adapt our rolling strategy:

At level 8, we roll down from 60 gold to 30 gold while selling our previous Chosen to:

  • Find Kennen Chosen, which has the highest probability at this level and on 50 gold and low roll for him on 3 star🔥
  • Maintain strong chances of hitting 3-cost units while keeping a backup plan

⚠️ Yes, we lose a few % on finding 3-cost units, but it's not a major loss!

💡 Plan B:
If Kennen Chosen doesn’t appear, we can always pivot into Keeper Xayah, which is still a strong alternative and not a bad outcome at all!

🎯 Why This Works Across Multiple Comps

This strategy isn't limited to Keepers—it applies to many comps where:

🔸 3-cost carries rely on a 4-cost unit as a secondary carry.
🔸 Rolling at level 8 ensures we have both Chosen options available.
🔸 Even if things go wrong, a 4-cost Chosen can save your game.

🚀 Mastering the New Chosen Rolling Strategy!

By understanding these rolling changes, you can:
✔️ Optimize when and how to roll for your Chosen.
✔️ Increase your chances of getting the right unit.
✔️ Always have a backup plan to stay in the game.

HOW TO PLAY 4 COST CARRY

🎲 Mastering the Chosen Strategy – Early to Late Game 🎲

🏆 Early Game – Don't Ignore Your First Chosen!

🔹 Picking an early Chosen is crucial—some are stronger than others, for example:

  • Great Choices: Yasuo, Tristana
  • Weaker Choices: Fiora, Maokai

⚠️ Exception: Tahm Kench (Fortune) is a special case, as he completely changes your game plan 💰.

💡 Strategy in the early game:
✔️ Depending on your starting units & items, decide whether to:

  • Play for a win streak with the strongest board 💥
  • Play for a loss streak to maximize gold and better rolls later 📈

🔄 Mid Game – Upgrading to a Better Chosen

In the mid-game, it's important to strengthen your board by replacing your Chosen. You have two ways to do this:

1️⃣ Finding a Better Chosen by RNG 🎲
  • Since Chosen appears every 4 shops, sometimes you randomly roll into a stronger one.
  • Example: Early Chosen Tristana (strong with Guinsoo's Rageblade or Hurricane)
    • 🔁 At level 6, if you hit a Chosen Zed (who also benefits from these items), instantly pick him up!
2️⃣ Planned Transition at Level 7 🎯
  • Even a 1 or 2-cost Chosen can help you reach level 8, so don’t rush to replace it too soon.
  • However, if needed, you can sell your Chosen at level 7 and roll down to 30 gold to find a:
    • 🏹 Kennen (Keeper)
    • 🏹 Akali (Ninja/Assassin)
    • 🔮 Veigar (Mage)
    • 🛡️ Even a tank Chosen can be useful!

🚀 Late Game – Level 8 & The Real Fun Begins!

🔹 Level 8 is where the big plays happen—this is when you start rolling for 4-cost Chosen units:

  • 💰 Sell your current Chosen and start rolling aggressively to replace it every shop!
  • 📉 Drop to 10-15 gold economy if needed to secure your ideal Chosen unit.
🔥 Example – Slayer Composition

Tryndamere, Olaf, and Samira all play similarly and use the same core items:
At level 8: Pick Olaf or Tryndamere as your Chosen to strengthen your board.
At level 9: Transition into Samira (Legendary Chosen) for the ultimate power spike!

🎯 Key Takeaways for Chosen Strategy

✔️ Pick an early Chosen to secure a strong start.
✔️ Transition to a better Chosen in mid-game (either by luck or rolling at level 7).
✔️ At level 8, roll aggressively to secure a 4-cost Chosen.
✔️ Be flexible—adapt your comp based on what Chosen you find.
✔️ Level 9 is your final power spike, where you can grab a Legendary Chosen!

HOW TO PLAY 5 COST CARRY

🎯 Optimizing Your Game Plan – From Early to Late Game 🎯

🚀 Early Game – Building a Strong Board

The main focus in this strategy is to play around a strong early board and continuously upgrade it to:
Quickly reach levels 8 & 9 📈
Eventually cap out at level 10 for the best possible team 💎

⚠️ Note: This strategy does NOT consider augments that help with leveling.

🎲 Best Early Chosen Units

For early game success, prioritize Chosen Carry units based on your item distribution:

  • 🔥 AP ItemsBrand (great early carry)
  • ⚔️ Bruiser/Omnivamp Items (Edge of Night, Bloodthirster)Yasuo or Diana
  • 🎯 Attack Speed ItemsTristana
  • 🛡️ Tank ChosenMaokai (great with Sunfire Cape)

🔄 Mid Game – Transitioning to a Stronger Chosen

At level 7, it’s time to upgrade your Chosen to a stronger one. Consider:

💰 2-cost Chosen:

  • 🥷 Zed (Great for Assassin comps)
  • 🎯 Teemo (Strong with AP items)

💎 3-cost Chosen: (Based on available items)

  • 🎯 Sivir/Kalista (If you have AD/Attack Speed items)
  • 🔮 Veigar/Kindred (If you have AP items)
  • 🐉 Shyvana (Good for Bruiser comps)
🏦 How to Roll for Chosen at Level 8

💰 Enter level 8 with around 60 goldSell your current ChosenRoll down to 25 gold
📈 Rebuild your economy and focus on pushing level 9.

🏆 Late Game – Level 9 & Beyond

At level 9, roll down to 20 gold to secure:
✅ A strong 4-cost Chosen that fits your comp 🎯
✅ A 5-cost Chosen if lucky ✨

💡 Thinking About Level 10?
If you have a stable board with a 4-cost Chosen, consider saving up to push for level 10.
At level 10, your chance of hitting a 5-cost Chosen is significantly higher 🏆!

🔥 Key Takeaways for a Strong Game Plan

✔️ Prioritize early-game Chosen carries to secure a strong start.
✔️ Transition to a better Chosen at level 7, rolling down to 30 gold.
✔️ At level 8, roll to 25 gold to secure an optimal mid-to-late game Chosen.
✔️ Push level 9 and roll down to 20 gold to hit strong 4/5-cost Chosen units.
✔️ If stable at level 9, consider pushing level 10 for a high chance of hitting 5-cost Chosen units!

🔥 Follow this strategy, play smart, and secure those top finishes! 🔥
