β¨ A Major Step Forward for the Best Players! β¨
With the launch of Cyber City in Set 14, Riot Games has also announced groundbreaking changes to the TFT Esports competition system. This not only helps create a more exciting competitive environment but also provides more opportunities for top players to reach the peak! π
β‘ A Professional Tournament for TFT Masters β‘
Over the past Sets, the TFT community has witnessed top players consistently maintaining their impressive performances, conquering the Golden Spatula, and even the Tacticianβs Crown. However, after each Set, all players must start over due to resets in rankings, points, and qualification systems. This makes the journey back to the top extremely challenging, and at times, somewhat unfair. π€
π₯ Set 15 will change this! Riot is introducing a new competition layer, where the top 32 players from the previous Set will compete in a high-stakes tournament with massive rewards π° and a faster path to the Tacticianβs Crown π. The best players from ranked mode, challenges, and cups will also have a chance to secure a spot in this new system.
π‘ This will bring:
βοΈ Continuous competition for top-tier players.
βοΈ A more professional and engaging playing field.
βοΈ More opportunities for rising stars to showcase their skills.
π‘ Evaluation and Selection Process π‘
π Who qualifies?
At the end of each Set, 28 out of 32 top players from the Golden Spatula in each region will be selected.
4 special invitations from Riot will be given to players who have made significant contributions to TFT Esports and to ensure fair regional representation π.
π If you donβt qualify for Tier 1? No worries! You can still earn a spot in the Golden Spatula through cups and the ranking system, just like before. π
π― To maintain your position in Tier 1 for Set 16, you need to be among the top 32 players reaching Week 2 of the Golden Spatula.
βοΈ Golden Spatula Expansion - More Intense Challenges! βοΈ
Golden Spatula will no longer be just a 3-day event; instead, it will now span 2 weeks with a total of 6 days of competition, divided into 3 stages:
π Qualifiers (Day 1): π₯ 16 players compete β 8 advance.
π Week 1 (Days 2 & 3): π― 48 players compete β 20 top performers advance.
π Week 2 (Days 4, 5 & 6): β‘ 32 players battle β 8 top players make it to the final day!
π’ Benefits of this expansion:
βοΈ More players get a chance to make an impact! πͺ
βοΈ Increased competition and higher stakes! π
βοΈ More excitement and engagement for both players and fans! π₯
π How the Tier 1 System Works π
π Each Set will have 3 new Tier 1 tournaments, featuring higher prize pools π°, bigger stakes π₯, and more intense competition βοΈ.
π Format:
βοΈ Each tournament lasts 3 days, with the final day featuring only the top 8 players.
βοΈ Qualifying points will determine placement in Golden Spatula:
Ranks 1 - 12: Advance directly to Week 2 π―.
Ranks 13 - 24: Advance to Week 1 π.
Ranks 25 - 32: Must compete in Play-ins β‘.
βοΈ Day 3 of each tournament will be the Final Showdown β the winner will earn an instant spot in the Tacticianβs Crown! π
π‘ Significance:
βοΈ Every tournament now feels more meaningful.
βοΈ Easier for fans to follow the most thrilling matches.
βοΈ More opportunities for consistent players to shine.
