Set 10 brings back a beloved mechanic from Set 4—Headliners. If you’re new to TFT or didn’t play during Set 4, this guide will walk you through how Headliners work and what makes them unique.

What Are Headliners?

Headliners are special 2-star units that show up in your shop with powerful bonuses. Here’s what makes them stand out:

• One of their traits gains double value.
• They come with a unique Headliner bonus.
• They cost the equivalent of their tier (e.g., a 3-cost Headliner costs 9 gold).

Example:

In the image below, Vi appears as a Headliner. She costs 9 gold (as a 3-cost), and her Mosher trait is doubled.

Some Headliner bonuses offer stat boosts, while others may alter or enhance their abilities. Each champion has a unique Headliner effect, so it’s worth checking the full list in the Reveal Article.

How to Get Headliners

The Headliner system is more structured than the Chosen system from Set 4, offering more consistency and room for skill expression.

• If you don’t have a Headliner, one will appear in every shop.
• If you already have a Headliner, a new one will show up in every third shop.

This change makes it easier to plan your comp around Headliners without relying solely on luck.

Bad Luck Protection

To reduce frustration, there’s a protection system in place:

• If you pass on a Headliner trait (e.g., Country +1), that trait won’t reappear for the next 4 shops.
• This avoids seeing the same unwanted trait repeatedly.

Pro Tip:

If you're hunting for Country Samira but find Country Katarina instead, buy and sell Katarina. This keeps the Country trait pool open, allowing Samira to show up sooner.

Music System

All Origin traits in Set 10 are music-themed, and your in-game music changes based on the champions you have on the board.

While this doesn’t affect gameplay, it adds a layer of immersion and flavor. Whether you’re vibing with your favorite comp or switching things up to hear a new tune, the music system brings extra personality to each game.
