Why play Janna carry ?
Janna, when built with Guinsoo's Rageblade, Spear of Shojin and Archangel Staff, will use the time granted to her by the frontline to stack both Attack Speed and AP, gnawing at enemy health, then shielding your remaining units more than they can be damaged while killing the last enemies. Right now, there's quite a number of reroll compositions, so it's another one you can play to match the rhythm.
When to roll and level up ?
Considering you'll want Diana 3 on top of Janna 3, rolling at level 7 will be better than rolling at level 6, since the odds for 2-cost units will still be okay. If you've hit Janna 3 and are 2 or 3 off from Diana 3, you can resume levelling up to toughen your board.
On the side of the comp
With the rest of the comp, you'll get team-wide bonuses that will give a good amount of stats. Everyone will get 100 bonus Health due to Bruiser, 5 mana every 3 seconds due to Invoker, 25 AR/MR due to Altruist, 18% AS due to the Dragon's strike from Dragonlord, AP and Attack Speed from Heavenly, and from Sage front units will get Omnivamp while back units will get AP.
Kayle will debuff resistances while she's alive with her Talisman of Aid, and Zyra will Wound enemies before Annie gets the baton passed after casting too.
Potential Counters
Be mindful of Yone reroll, as he might be able to reach your carry. You'll want to either put Janna as far as possible from him, or on the contrary put her slightly closer with other units to act as baits, since he'll target the furthest enemy within his spell's range. He'll most often come with Alune, who will cast on the row with the most of your units, so make sure not to put too many units on the same row of your Janna.
That last part also applies when facing a 6 Invoker team.
When facing Snipers, make sure to put units to bait their cast, especially Caitlyn's, as well as put units to shield Janna from disadvantageous angles.
