Items for Aphelios
You want to play Aphelios if you got his items, 2 atk speed + 1 damage items: Guinsoo is a must, then Red Buff > GS + Runaan > IE/DB/GS
Aphelios dmg mostly come from his normal atk, his BiS are Guinsoo + Runaan + RB, but this cost you 4 bows. The optimal way is slaming Guinsoo first then RB > QS, last item can be anything because Runaan only make a small different.
In this topic my default Aphelios items are Guinsoo + RB + IE.

Besides getting Aphelios BiS, scout lobby carefully for Fated Syndra and Sniper Ashe player who also buy him or make sure you have champion duplicators
Caitlyn is the best AD carry opener, easy flex into other AD comp
Ahri atk speed opener isn't bad, but you are forcing yourself playing Aphe

Lv 7 rolling
Rolling until 3* Aphelios OR Thresh, then lv 8 and golden other 3 cost and finding Sett. DON'T stay at lv 7 to golden both unless you are close like 1 more copy, your board is strong enough to level up.

Althought Yorick activate traits perfectly, Ornn is better for late game
Syndra items: BB/Shojin/AH + 2 AP, BB + GB + AS are the best combo, not only give her raw AP (Fated already gives her dmg bonus), but also healing for frontline for stacking Guinsoo and GB.

Prefer Ornn + Udyr than Nautilus + Sett:
- Your frontline is mostly golden, so any item from Ornn is valuable
- Don't be fooled by Sett bonus AD from squatting high HP units, stats gain are small and harmless, not to mention he is the weakest 5 cost in 14.6 I believe. His role in a team looks like a trait activator than a 5 cost carry. In this case he can only help with Warden.

Small thing to notice here, if your main tank is not 3*, don't let them solo in frontline on round 4
Don't put Shen in the middle and hope he reduce dmg to both adjacent allies, it doesn't work like you think. Optimal way is putting him next to your main tank, same side with opponent carry
Watch out Nautilus, his CC can touch Aphe which can change a fight, you can bait by placing Ashe, Syndra and Thresh (he has 2 hexes range) on the other side

I pick based on stat, but don't strictly follow:
- Personal augments (items) are top choice at 2-1
- Whole team buff augments are preferred to pich at 4-2
- Champion duplicator augments are good in high contested game
- Pick at least 2 combat augments, unless you are a pro and know what to do, don't choose 2 econ or rolling augments
- Lastly the unique best 3-2 aug in every comp: Young and Wild and Free! Always pick if your first 6 rounds are great
