How to Play Firelight — TFT Set 13: Into the Arcane

In TFT Set 13, the Firelight trait brings a dynamic playstyle focused on mobility, healing, and burst damage potential. Every six seconds, Firelight champions dash across the battlefield, granting them infinite attack range during the dash and healing them for a portion of the damage taken since their previous dash. As the trait scales, Firelight units recover more health, and at the highest level, they gain a burst of attack speed while dashing, allowing for an explosive increase in damage output. Firelight champions are perfect for players looking to create a flexible and resilient team that can sustain and reposition itself mid-fight.

Firelights dash around the board and gain infinite attack range and heal a percent of the damage taken. This makes them more unique than most traits introduced to TFT. There aren’t many of them, but Ekko is the key unit of the trait as he also holds other two important traits. Let’s take a closer look at this small but potentially very impactful trait of Set 13.

How TFT Firelight Works

  1. Firelight Trait Bonus

Champions: Zeri 2g / Scar 3g / Ekko 4g

Every 6 seconds, Firelights dash. While dashing, they attack with infinite range and heal a percentage of the damage taken since their last dash.

  • (2) 25% of damage taken
  • (3) 40% of damage taken
  • (4) 45% of damage taken. While dashing, gain a massive burst of Attack Speed.
  1. First Impressions:

The Firelights are also from the show Arcane, and feature Scar as a TFT exclusive. Ekko and Zeri are already beloved League of Legends characters, so there’s no surprise there. The trait makes them nimble and dash around.

Hopefully the AI for these dashes are good and they dont dash into danger and ruin your fight.

  1. Firelight Synergy

Here are the additional traits of the Firelight champions that give the opportunity to create trait webs:

  • Zeri (2G) – Sniper
  • Scar (3G) – Watcher
  • Ekko (4G) – Scrap + Ambusher
  1. The Firelight Trait

The trait is small with only 3 units, but it is important to be aware that a spatula for this trait will be possible and a spatula on some units such as Ambessa could show to be very strong. A player being able to turn any melee unit into a firelight will likely be game changing!

TFT Firelight Champions

  1. Zeri (2G) – Firelight + Sniper

Zeri’s passive is every 3rd attack is replaced with a spark that deals (AD) physical damage to the target and (AD) physical damage to 2 nearby enemies. She has a sniper trait as well, so it’s possible to tie her into higher end snipers such as Twitch and Caitlyn.

  1. Scar (3G) – Firelight + Watcher

Scar lobs bombs at the nearest 3 enemies, stunning them and dealing (AP) magic damage to each while healing (AP). Scar’s traits are very strong combined with his ability to stun. Watcher is a tank trait that gives durability to Watchers. Scar’s strong traits and utilities will make him one of the key Firelights as well as an easy tie into the Watcher trait giving the Firelight trait more flexibility.

  1. Ekko (4G) – Firelight + Scrap + Ambusher

Ekko summons an assault of afterimages that deals (AP) magic damage to the target and (AP) magic damage to 2/2/4 other nearby enemies. Afterimages reduce their target’s Magic Resist by 5 for the rest of combat.

Ekko has strong traits of Scrap and Ambusher along with his firelifght. On top ofthis Ekko has inherent shred (magic resistance reduction) that makes his kit strong as well. His Ambusher trait makes him easy to pair with another strong Ambusher – Jinx.

Best TFT Firelight Augments

In general, Augments like Crest and Crown will always be good, but there are definitely more notable ones to explore and discover. As we make our way to the PBE, we’ll be sure to test a variety of combinations and update this article with what we find.

TFT Firelight Team Comps

The set has yet to even come out on PBE yet, and unfortunately, our team was unable to playtest the Set this time around. While we can’t recommend team comps at the moment, we’ll be sure to come back and update this article once we have a good feel for things.

Conclusion for Firelight in TFT Set 13

In conclusion, Firelight offers a unique blend of sustain and offensive pressure, making it a valuable trait for players who enjoy adaptable and mobile strategies. With their ability to heal from damage taken and unleash high attack speed during dashes, Firelight champions can effectively outlast opponents in extended skirmishes and surprise with quick repositioning. For players who can time their units’ dashes strategically, Firelight brings the potential to control the flow of battle, allowing them to excel in TFT Set 13.
