Video Guide:

Introduction:

This is a guide to the upcoming five-star Glacio character Carlotta, who wields Pistols. Carlotta is the inaugural limited Glacio D.P.S. character in Wuthering Waves. She exhibits strong synergy with the Glacio Support, Zhezhi. Carlotta has the ability to build up substance through her attacks. Once her substance is fully accumulated, she can use it all to perform the heavy attack, Imminent Oblivion, which also shortens the cooldown of her resonance skill, Art of Violence. Her Resonance Liberation unleashes Glacio damage on all nearby targets and triggers Twilight Tango. During Twilight Tango, Carlotta can execute Death Knell to gain Meta. Accumulating four meta vectors enables Carlotta to deliver a powerful final shot.

Kit:

Carlotta's combat style revolves around various attack modes enhanced by her unique abilities:

Normal Attack: Silent Execution

Carlotta performs up to two consecutive strikes as her basic attack, inflicting Glacio damage.

Enhanced Basic Attack: Necessary Measures

With Moldable Crystals, her basic attack shifts to Necessary Measures, allowing three consecutive strikes that consume one Moldable Crystal each, all dealing Glacio damage.

Heavy Attack:

A charged attack that consumes stamina to deal Glacio damage.

Enhanced Heavy Attack: Containment Tactics

When Carlotta's substance is full, she uses containment tactics instead of her regular heavy attack, consuming all substance to inflict Glacio damage and reduce the cooldown of her resonance skill, Art of Violence, by six seconds.

Mid-air Attack:

Carlotta can perform a plunging attack that costs stamina, dealing Glacio damage. Following up with a basic attack after landing triggers customary greetings.

Enhanced Mid-air Attack: Customary Greetings

This move flips over the target and delivers a surprise shot, dealing additional Glacio damage.

Dodge Counter:

After successfully dodging, pressing the normal attack button triggers a riposte shot that deals Glacio damage and consumes one moldable crystal.

Resonance Skill: Art of Violence

Carlotta's Resonance Skill deals Glacio damage and applies the Dispersion effect on the target. Dispersion immobilizes targets for one point five seconds. Pressing the Resonance Skill button again shortly afterwards will trigger Chromatic Splendor.

Chromatic Splendor:

This ability consumes all moldable crystals to deal additional Glacio damage. If Chromatic Splendor is not used after a certain period, or if Carlotta is switched out, the Resonance Skill will enter a cooldown phase.

Resonance Liberation: Era of New Wave

Carlotta's Resonance Liberation deals Glacio damage to all targets in the vicinity, which is considered to be Resonance Skill damage, and applies Deconstruction, which allows damage dealt to affected targets to ignore eighteen percent of their defense. Following the initial attack, Twilight Tango is activated and can be executed even while Carlotta is mid-air near the ground.

Twilight Tango:

During Twilight Tango, pressing Normal Attack or using Resonance Liberation triggers Death Knell, each instance of which grants one Meta Vector. Accumulating four Meta Vectors allows Carlotta to use Fatal Finale by pressing Normal Attack or Resonance Liberation again. All substance is removed when entering and exiting Twilight Tango, and Carlotta cannot perform Basic Attack Necessary Measures, Heavy Attack Containment Tactics, or Heavy Attack Imminent Oblivion during this mode.

Death Knell:

In this attack, Carlotta fires potent shots with her musket and summons four crystal shards to target and damage enemies, treated as resonance skill damage. She also moves in the direction of input with each shot.

Fatal Finale:

This final move inflicts Glacio damage over an area considered resonance skill damage and concludes Twilight Tango.

Forte Circuit: Lethal Repertoire

Heavy Attack - Imminent Oblivion

Every twenty two seconds, Carlotta activates Tinted Crystal. When her Substance is full and Tinted Crystal is active, holding Normal Attack consumes all Substance to cast Heavy Attack Imminent Oblivion. This attack deals Glacio damage which is considered as Resonance Skill damage, reduces the cooldown of Resonance Skill Art of Violence by six seconds, and triggers the Grand Unveiling state.

Grand Unveiling:

This state increases the damage multiplier of Resonance Liberation moves—Era of New Wave, Death Knell, and Fatal Finale—by eighty percent. Switching to other Resonators ends this effect.

Substance:

Carlotta can accumulate up to one hundred twenty points of Substance. She cannot gain Substance while in Twilight Tango. Substance is restored by thirty points when casting Intro Skill Wintertime Aria, ten points for each Moldable Crystal consumed during Resonance Skill Chromatic Splendor or Basic Attack Necessary Measures, and ten points per Moldable Crystal used during Dodge Counter.

Moldable Crystal

Carlotta can hold a maximum of six Moldable Crystals and cannot gain more while in Twilight Tango. Crystals are replenished by casting various attacks and skills, including Basic Attack Stage two, Heavy Attack, Mid-air Attack Customary Greetings, Intro Skill Wintertime Aria, Resonance Skill Art of Violence, and upon a successful Dodge, with each action restoring three Moldable Crystals.

Weapons:

Carlotta’s best weapon is obviously her signature weapon, The Last Dance. It has a critical damage substat and an effect that boosts Attack by twelve percent. Each time an Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation is used, it increases the Resonance Skill Damage Bonus by forty-eight percent for five seconds. The only five-star pistol alternative to Carlotta’s signature weapon is Static Mist. It provides twenty-four point three percent critical rate percent as its substat at level ninety and five hundred eighty-seven attack as its main stat. Its effect boosts energy regeneration by twelve point eight percent. After Carlotta uses the Outro Skill, the Incoming Resonator's Attack increases by ten percent for fourteen seconds and can stack once. A gacha four-star weapon that Carlotta can use is Undying Flame. It has an attack percent substat and has the effect that when the Intro Skill is activated, it enhances the Resonance Skill Damage Bonus by twenty percent for fifteen seconds. A previously obtainable event four-star weapon that Carlotta can use is the Relativistic Jet. It has an attack percent substat and the effect that using the resonance skill awards six resonance energy and boosts attack by ten percent for sixteen seconds. This effect can be activated once every twenty seconds. A four-star Pioneer Podcast weapon that Carlotta can use is the Thunderbolt. It has an attack percent substat and has the effect that when striking a target with basic attacks or heavy attacks, it increases the Resonance Skill Damage Bonus by seven percent, stackable up to three times. This effect lasts for ten seconds and can be triggered once every second. The best three-star free-to-play pistols for Carlotta are the Guardian Pistols. Sequence Node Stopping Point:

Carlotta’s Sequence Node One states that using the Resonance Skill Art of Violence boosts Carlotta's Glacio Damage Bonus by twenty five percent for fifteen seconds. Additionally, when the Resonance Skill Chromatic Splendor hits a target affected by dispersion, Carlotta restores an extra thirty points of substance. I would recommend pulling for Carlotta's signature weapon over her first sequence node because it provides more to her. The sequence node stopping point is also node one because node two is not that good and anything above that costs too much money.
