After triggering Perfect Dodge, tap to activate Normal Attack, Perfect Attack. Holding can activate Normal Attack, Curtail Call, to exit Singing State. Holding can exit Singing State.

In Singing State, if enough energy is available, the following conditions can trigger Quick Assist and obtain Notes: When an on-field character's attack hits an enemy, it can trigger once every three seconds. When an on-field character's heavy attack hits an enemy, it can trigger once every second. Up to three Notes can be obtained. If the limit is exceeded, only Quick Assist is triggered. If Notes are available but energy is insufficient, only Quick Assist is triggered. When a teammate's Quick Assist or Chain Attack enters the field, all Notes are consumed, and Astra Yao loses twenty, twenty eight or thirty five energy points. Each consumed Note adds one Moonlight Strike. When Quick Support is triggered by the above methods, tapping to switch characters within a short time is considered Perfect Dodge, and each consumed Note adds three Starlight Strikes.

Astra Yao’s Quick Assist. When an on-field character is knocked into the air, tap to activate: Use singing to guide energy bombardment, dealing ether damage. The move grants invincibility during its activation.

Astra Yao’s Defensive Assist. When an on-field character is about to be attacked, tap to activate: Evade the enemy's attack and trigger Extreme Vision. The move grants invincibility during its activation.

Astra Yao’s Core Passive. In Singing State, Astra Yao's energy recovery increases by zero point five. When teammates switch through Quick Assist or Chain Attack, increase the attack of Astra Yao and the entering character by forty percent of Astra Yao's initial attack plus sixty points, up to a maximum of one thousand five hundred points, based on the number of Notes consumed. The effect lasts for ten, twenty, or thirty seconds, and the duration accumulates when repeatedly triggered, up to a maximum of thirty seconds. After switching through Quick Assist or Chain Attack, Astra Yao cannot gain energy for zero point one seconds.

Astra Yao’s Additional Abilities. When there are Attack or Anomaly characters in the team: In Singing State, when a teammate's Quick Assist or Chain Attack enters the field, restore four, five point six or seven energy to the entering character based on the number of Notes consumed.

Mindscape Cinema Levels:

If you are a free-to-play player, Mindscape Cinema levels are not important. But I will go over them. Astra Yao’s Mindscape Cinema One. When Astra Yao's attacks hit an enemy, reduce the enemy's all-attribute damage resistance by six percent, stacking up to three layers. Repeated triggers refresh the duration. After activating Chain Attack and Ultimate, Astra Yao can trigger Quick Assist even when energy is insufficient for fifteen seconds. Astra Yao’s Mindscape Cinema Two. In Singing State, increase the damage dealt by teammates' Quick Assist skills by four hundred percent of Astra Yao's attack, triggering once every five seconds. Astra Yao’s Mindscape Cinema Four. Increase the attack conversion rate of Core Passive by ten percent. After activating Ultimate, the entire team gains a layer of Protection. When attacked by the enemy, one layer of Protection is consumed, granting invincibility for one second. Mindscape Cinema Six. Increase the multiplier of Moonlight and three Starlight to one hundred forty percent of the original. Increase Critical Rate by thirty percent, and Critical Damage by fifty percent. When obtaining Notes, additionally trigger one Moonlight and three Starlight. Each time three Notes are consumed, automatically release the third stage of Normal Attack.

Recommended Endgame Stats:

Astra Yao’s recommended endgame stats at level sixty are twelve thousand H.P., one thousand defense, and two thousand attack.

Ability Level Priority:

For Astra Yao’s ability level priority, first level her chain attack, then level her special attack, then level her basic attack, then level her assist, and lastly level her dodge.

W-Engines:

Astra Yao’s Signature W-Engine has a base attack of seven hundred fourteen and a substat of thirty percent attack percent. When any character in the team using Quick Assist enters the field, the W-Engine restores five point eight up to eight energy amounts to Astra Yao, up to once every five seconds. When Astra Yao consumes more than twenty energy points, the entire team's damage increases by seventeen point five percent up to twenty two percent, stacking up to two layers, lasting for fifteen seconds. Repeated triggers refresh the duration, and the same passive effects share layers.

Signature W-Engine vs Mindscape Cinema 1:

If you have some extra pulls and want to pull either Astra Yao’s signature W-Engine or her mindscape cinema one, I would recommend pulling Astra Yao’s signature W-Engine before Mindscape Cinema One because her signature W-Engine does more. Astra Yao’s Mindscape Cinema One only reduces the enemy's all-attribute damage resistance, whereas Astra Yao’s signature W-Engine restores energy, provides attack percent, and increases team damage.

W-Engine Options:

A S-Rank standard gacha W-Engine that Astra Yao can use is the Weeping Cradle. While Astra Yao is off-field, energy regeneration is increased. Attacks from Astra Yao enhance the squad’s damage against a struck target. During this period, this effect is further increased.

An A-Rank standard gacha W-Engine that Astra Yao can use is Slice of Time. Any squad members’ Dodge Counter, EX Special Attack, Assist Attack, or Chain Attack, respectively, generate more Decibels and generate energy for Astra Yao.

An alternative A-Rank standard gacha W-Engine that Astra Yao can use is The Vault. Dealing Ether Damage using an EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate increases all squad members’ damage against the target and increases Astra Yao’s energy regeneration.

Another alternative A-Rank standard gacha W-Engine that Astra Yao can use is Kaboom the Cannon. When any friendly unit in the squad attacks and hits an enemy, all friendly units’ attack increases.

A free-to-play B-Rank W-Engine that Astra Yao can use is Reverb Mark three. Launching a chain attack or ultimate increases all squad members’ attack.

Drive discs:

To truly maximize Astra Yao's potential, let's discuss her optimal drive disk sets.

If there is a new drive disk set that is being released for Astra Yao, use that one; however, I will go over the current drive disk set options.

Astra Yao can use a four-piece set of Swing Jazz. Its two-piece set effect increases energy regeneration. Its four-piece set effect says that launching a chain attack or ultimate increases all squad members’ damage.

Astra Yao could probably use a four-piece set of Soul Rock. Its two-piece set effect increases defense. Its four-piece set effect says that upon receiving an enemy attack and losing H.P., Astra Yao takes less damage.

Alternatively, Astra Yao could probably use a four-piece set of Proto Punk. Its two-piece set effect increases shield effect, which is useless for Astra Yao directly but can be good if you have a shielder teammate. Its four-piece set effect says that when any squad member triggers a defensive assist or evasive assist, all squad members deal increased damage.

Main Stats:

For drive disc four, use an H.P. percent main stat. For drive disc five, use either an ether damage percent or an H.P. percent main stat. For drive disc six, use either an Energy Regeneration or an H.P. percent main stat.

Substats:

For drive disc substats, prioritize H.P. percent, defense percent, attack percent, and flat H.P.

Bangboo options:

For Bangboo options, you can use the S-Rank Resonaboo. Its active skill summons an Ether black hole that continuously pulls in enemies, deals Ether damage, and accumulates Ether anomaly buildup. Its passive skill says that when there are two or more Ether Attribute characters in your squad, Bangboo Chain Attack inflicts more anomaly buildup. Its chain attack throws an Ether bomb at the target, dealing Ether damage and accumulating massive Ether Anomaly Buildup.

An A-rank bangboo option is Devilboo. Its active skill enters the flying state, shooting homing bullets at enemies to deal Ether damage and inflict Ether Anomaly Buildup. Its passive skill says that when there are at least two Ether Attribute characters in your squad, Bangboo Chain Attack inflicts more Anomaly Buildup. After activating Bangboo Chain Attack, the coordination state lasts for more time and can be activated more times. Its chain attack fires three homing bullets at the target and then enters the coordination state. Under this state, fires homing bullets in coordination with the on-field character's attacks, dealing Ether Damage and inflicting Ether Anomaly Buildup.

Teams:

Since Astra Yao is a healer, she is universal and can be used on any team, just like Seth or Caesar. Astra Yao can be used with Zhu Yuan and Qingyi. Qingyi can be replaced with Nicole if you do not have Qingqi. A free-to-play team is Astra Yao, Nicole, and Anby. Billy can replace Anby. If you have Nekomata, you can use Astra Yao with Nicole.
